A stronger fan than my setup with the plugables. I have all 6 running back in the plugables now Undecided

Tried turning off the hub for several minutes, then turning back on(including unplugging), and switching the power supply on and off several times. I noticed that the sticks plugged into 2,5 would flash red as they went off where the other 4 would go immediately off from green.

I was increasing the speed in steps due to 3 of the sticks being 2pacs "seconds". As stated, all 6 are working again on the old hubs.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

see if the hub works after that, or simply try the hub with another usb port or comp

Just got the NEW EDITION Gekkoscience 8-Port USB hub!
here is a side by side comparison with the older model:

https://i.ibb.co/6rgsGDr/gekkoscience-7-port-usb-hub1.jpg
https://i.ibb.co/r4gHVBt/gekkoscience-7-port-usb-hub2.jpg

it has a new metallic casing this time, slightly slimmer and a more sleek look and feel. Ports 1-7 are for data, port 8 is charge only Smiley
diagram on the back shows the max power draw for the groups of usb ports on the hub, very useful and removes the guess work

All you need is this hub and one of these 12V 10A power bricks for $15 $12 (au/eu/uk/usa plugs available) and you are good to go  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin  Wink
You won't find a more reliable usb hub and power supply.

Maybe a stupid question.

But you can't use 8-port for mining? EDIT: Never mind, I misunderstood what you wrote. Smiley

How many NewPAC can the hub on the left handle?

How many NewPAC can the hub on the left handle?

Both hubs are designed to handle 6 USB Mining Sticks, the additional ports are for small addons (Raspberry Pi, USB Fan) that require less than 2 Amps of power.
Both the black and the aluminum hub group the ports into 4 sections, ports 6 and 7 share 6Amps, 3 and 4 share 6 amps, 5 and 2 share 6 amps. Port 1 and D(on the aluminum) are on a 2Amp max fuse. the big difference is that port D(aluminum only) is not connected to the hub itself, so it can only provide power, similar to a wall brick for cellphone charging.

Theoretically, you could run 7 sticks in both hubs, but the 7th miner would have to be run at lower speeds to keep it under the amp limit.

Hi! Check our R&D Smiley Here is Big One Usb Hub as a one module from our convector-miner product, but not about that now.

So the one module can still heat the room without noise! Also it's our test 33 Clarke-chips USB sticker.

Looks more like a board than hub. I'm more interested in what it actually is.

so...i bought an arctic USB fan that likes to blow up USB ports it gets plugged into. I haven't pulled the hub apart yet to inspect, but ports D and 1 are now dead. Are the board components easily sourced so I can fix my hub?

That conversation is probably more appropriate for a different thread. This'n is specific to stickminers and hubs that are good for them.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

Hello.

I got my second NewPac, but seems like my ORICO powered hub is having problems, as the miners keep restarting and never reach clock above 250Mhz.

I guess I need new power brick.

What do you guys think about this one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K4LYX7U. How many NewPacs can it possibly get going?

Thanks!

the hub uses a 60 watt brick so

.8 x 60 = 48 x .9 = 43.2 watts  if you are lucky  it should do 4-5 sticks.  does not sidehack still sell his hub?  His hub is pretty nice.
