Hey, have you done this list by the new spreadsheet? because for some reason my return address isn't here
Understand that this should not be taken definitively or used as the final transaction. Rather, I took a(n incomplete) version of John's spreadsheet, copied it, and generated the proper sendmany transaction such that all he had to do was copy a formula to a cell, drag-copy it to the rest of the cells, and copy another formula to generate the sendmany. It was just to illustrate that it was possible (and quite easy). It was not meant to be the final version. You should look to John's linked spreadsheet (or anything else he links) as final. This was just to help him. He may choose to use it or he may choose to go another route. It's ultimately up to him.

It doesn't take any time to put the command together. You can do it yourself and see. Open John's spreadsheet and then save a copy. Take the first bit of code, paste it into cell F2. Then select that cell,
and in the same cut and paste steps you send out each one by one ... why be cute? Transaction fees, primarily. Doing it one by one doesn't change the risk of error at all. That depends on John being comfortable with sendmany, of course. This is his show. Completely agree that it's his show and whatever route he chooses I'm fine with, though I would contend that the risk error would probably be higher doing them individually due to missed/repeated copy & pastes or the blurring together of steps due to monotony/repetition. The risk error fear is simply (at least in my opinion) due to people's ignorance of the existence / use of the command coupled with a fear of the unknown (or perhaps technology). Saved fees are one thing, sure, but it will also save John time and get us our refunds more quickly. It will also be quicker for everyone to verify that the transaction went through since everyone will be part of the same transaction rather than John having to PM / email everyone their own tx number / link. I'll step off the soapbox now and leave it in John's hands. My only real goal was to try to continue to facilitate in any way possible to get us our refunds, mitigate potential errors, and just get this whole thing behind us.

To aid you in the transaction, I have created the transaction... ... Nice bit of coder redphlegm. Your insistence did make me suspicious at first, but just before John chimed in I was in a "dark dark place". Now it just seems you're being nerdy. I'm sure John has this covered either way. ciao ppls

Continuing this once I get back in about 1-2 hours and confirm something with bigbeninlondon.
Hey John - just sent you a p.m. with my information as it was not listed on your sheet.

I think the sheet is still a work in progress. There are over 90 people participating in this group buy, and his sheet is only 22 long. I'm hoping that 68 people don't have issues.

Everybody involved has had AMPLE opportunity to make a timely claim or to contest the current list. If they haven't taken action at this point, the onus is on them.

My concern isn't that, it's that ""the current list"" is apparently still a WIP.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiYcEqkgyjc_dHdIRGhHMG43N21raXJVSjA4dk5nUVE#gid=0It's only got about 1/4th of the chips/BTC filled in Or what is the "current list" if not the spreadsheet John K is filling in..? Said concern will be alleviated when the list is finished

Now you opine that the list isn't done yet - following John's announcement that he needed to clarify things before continuing. What would please you?

I just want an ample time window between "Ok the list is done" and "Ok i'm sending the 150,000$ in refunds out" Say 24 hours. 1 day for any objections to be made I'm getting the impression people want to send refunds ASAP as soon as that list is made, with no time for checking it because "the one true list" was already made Yes, i'm paranoid because i bought chips from someone. Yes, I’m paranoid of that list being made with the people i bought the chips from and them getting my refund. There's no chargeback in bitcoin. I think anyone else who bought chips from someone is in the same position Also my concern was *NEVER* about JohnK doing anything, it was about other people's actions, requests, and their suggestions

This isn't John K.'s first Rodeo. There's a reason he's so popular as an escrow agent. Let's have a little faith in our escrow.

Second part of the refunds coming once I figure out the rest of the list, hopefully today.
PS: Geez, I've refunded all GB's I've requested refunds for except this one. It doesn't make sense for me to refund all and run on the last, right? With the amount of address change requests etc I've got I'd need to at least give it some time before most people get it correct.

*facepalm* No sooner that I've sent the first part of the refund out there's already PM's shooting to me to tell me that they've got their refund addresses wrong again.

On the spreadsheet it states I'm entitled to refunds for 480 chips, but I *did* end up selling 14 chips to redphlegm. So that should read 466 chips instead.
