so much bear fail these last few pages it's hilarious

I made 60 BTC in last crash so I wouldn't say it's a fail. I could do better though if I haven't sold at 580$ earlier, I never expected to see this  Angry

You must be trading with a large stash to make that kind of profit. I'm nervous to risk my moderate stash at all.

Yeah, it was around 220 BTC or so I originally traded in last crash.

Here we go?

Most people make the Joker reference here but I prefer Mike Goldberg, UFC announcer.

Won't lie, this shit caught me off guard. Fortunately I stopped shorting the down trend ~ a week ago. Unfortunately only loaded up 60% from $450-520 and sold half near $600. Now I'm just in shock...

At the end of the day, I start "losing coins" > $1600 -- let's slow down a bit..... Smiley

Lot of us were caught off guard here. That's why I don't feel comfortable yet though I'm like 90% BTC now. Not many people bought lot of coins early today and if that whale(s) decide to dump, there's going to be blood.

Agreed, cautious here. Watched this all unfold overnight and to be honest, the bidwall-driven movement from $550s gives this rise an inorganic feel...

Time for another short?

Tempted.... we did pull back as we approached the next two down trend lines, may be time to find that long-awaited correction from the $400 bottom....

Seems like "the entity" has slowed down it's trading. I think that there is a certain number that the price has to reach so "the entity" will start buying again. The number is probably around the start of 600.
I think that we will see one or two more pumps that go quickly from 600-700. But then back to the good old bear market with low volume Smiley

What makes me uneasy, is that stamp seems to get DDoSed. Wouldn't be fun to be a bagholder with the price plummeting 100$ in a minute.

Coincidence that this all happens on the weekend rpietila is having his mansion party?

I said it hours ago, he posted on his thread and sounded very, very cocky. I'm pretty sure it's his group doing this.

You give this guy waaaay too much credit.

Not sure if entity will buy again but there was 2-3 hours of pause between all their buys earlier today.

Uh, I don't like him, there's no many people who called him names more than I did. To be honest I think he is twat, one of those I can't stand. But I do think he managed to incorporate himself in the group of some wealthy Bitcoiners like Goat and company, and they are very able to move the market.

While I don't think the bear market is over and I thought we would bounce to the 700s before finally finding a bottom, its SO NICE that all the trolls are gone. Every. Last. One. Of. Them.  Crawled back into the crevice of their parents spare bedroom. Haha!

I think the bear market is over... not just because of this rally, but because the fear and despair when Mt.Gox was crashing was over the top. Anybody who was nervous about Bitcoin sold then (or at least, 90% did, which is all that matters).

Bitcoinwisdom apparently is not getting timely data from Bitstamp.  It skipped several minutes just a little ago.

Note that bitcoinwisdom does not display a gaps when there is missing data, they just plot the data they have without gaps.  You can detect that by drawing a slanted straight line; the missing data creates steps in the line.  (I think this is terribly confusing to readers, but the owner sees it as a feature...  Sad)

The whole thing was orchestrated in a way that shows whoever did it understands the market pretty well. They know people are wary of fake bid walls, so they made sure their walls got eaten. They know people expect these brief pumps to be short lived, so they've made sure a new wall appears every few hours. They know people don't want to get left behind, so they were keeping their walls low enough that bids would pile in front of them, but moving them up when things were slowing down. By the time the third wall showed up it hardly had to do anything. They also know a lot of people are (or were) shorting, many of whom have probably been squeezed out. Probably the most telling thing is that no bigger whales came along to take a dump on the buildup, which would imply that the people capable of doing so weren't inclined to take what would have been a lot of profit. Why do think this might be, unless many of them are working together on this?

They've got things right where they want it now. Lots of people who were bearish will have bought back in, and everyone is scared to dump in case another wall comes along in a few hours.

But this is all just speculation right? Tongue
