Tim Draper, the current biggest known BTC bagholder? Cheesy
He should slap his son silly for making him lose millions.
OTOH if he waits and buys more close to the bottom, that would be wise.

You're forgetting the Winklevoss guys, apparently they have/had 100k BTC

Yes but their buy-in price was in the 2 digits... poor Draper paid 600+

Hehe, yes, a good point

I think that the whole bitcoin quest has been more of an publicity stunt for Draper and his future goals in entering the field of monetary services.
Bitcoin may be impractical as an financial tool, but it does get you some attention if you make public claims to support it.

Decent feature, thanks. I note with interest:

"There’s a feedback loop at work here that should be self correcting. If Bitcoin truly crashes from here, mining will become less profitable and thus the new supply reaching the market will slow. "

Which is basically what I posted about 12 hours back and got slapped down by Pheonix1.  Pheonix, you'd better write to Forbes, tell them "how poorly they understand BTC". Cheesy

So i just tried 247exchange.com.

It worked smooth and easy. It took me me 5 min for registration and paying (i used sofortbanking). I recevied my BTC about 15 min. later on my wallet adress.
Max. amount that i could buy was 25 BTC. Buying LTC and DOGE isn´t  possible right now, but is about to get implemented.
24/7 online support acted promptly after i complained because i didn´t receive my BTC after 5 min.  Wink Cheesy

Did you use a stolen CC from SR?  Wink

@Shroomskit, i found this one:

Huobi hit nearly exactly the low from November 10th (which is ~265$ om Stampt). WHICH WAS DIRECTLY BEFORE THE MASSIVE BULL RUN STARTED.
I think it´s safe to say that we will (again) hit 1000$ in the next 3 weeks.  Cool Cheesy

Wow... I actually like Krugman, but this quote was amazing:

"By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet’s impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine’s."  --Krugman

Methinks that 10 years from now, we will have the same laugh about his BTC thoughts.

hey hope you are right ...but this time around if it does bounce up to $1000 usd I'm taking out SOME in the form of cash.......I need a reduction in 'pucker syndrome'

to survive then next time it tanks....(if that is gonna be a pattern)....have to have SOMETHING to control that I THINK I did right if this all is gonna yo/yo next few years

then again it could go back and stablize to jan 2013 value $12 was it?

sheesh

The Winklevii bought below 20$, so by my standards they are not bagholders.
Tim Draper is now about 50% down, and his delusional bid strengthened the bulls' delusion in July.

Of course! I really don´t know why people are still mining(or buying), now that BTC are free.    Wink Cheesy

I just found this one on their website:

" Due to high risks of credit card fraud, we are thoroughly verifying such orders. Unlike other payment methods, we do not allow even smallest test orders from unverified customers.

Your data security in our priority, so we do not keep our customers credit cards details, moreover, we even do not see them! It's completely safe to buy bitcoins with credit card using www.247exchange.com. Our clients have nothing to worry about!

After our specialists will approve your application (usually it takes up to few hours)"

To be honest, i sent them a copy of my Passport, and it took no more than 1-2 minutes until i received an E-Mail that i got verified, so i doubt that they double-checked if i sent them e.g. a photoshopped ID:
I really don´t know how they will handle the risk of CC fraud, due to the (pseudo)anonymous and irreversible transfer of Bitcoin.
Seems like an invitation to all CC scammers for me.
I hope it works out. Buying BTC has never been faster and easier. (I used "sofortbanking" (direct deposit) and not CC btw.)

Wink Cheesy I don´t see 1000$ anytime near, but a bounce(solid recovery) to the mid 500´s in the next 2-3 weeks is very likely IMO.
