Or so you hope.  So funny watching all the "Oh BTC dead crowd" go quiet and make dumb comments.

Cheesy

When did I become part of the BTC is dead crowd.  I am just saying that it will likely continue to follow the long term trend until we see a real reversal, but its gotta go sideways for a long long time before a reversal of the long term trend.
Huh
I thought the high volume low at 166 was the point of the reversal.

So you think we will go lower than 166?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

to the moon!!! Mmmmmmm beer.... Beer...

It's still far too early to talk about the moon but as for beer, I agree. Mmmmmmmm.

I prefer Guinness Extra Stout but there's a Finnish beer that's perfect for bears to drown their sorrows.

The long term trend is up. You've been here bearish on btc since 2011 so you probably know that. Smiley

If you are referring to the recent bear market then if we breach about 350 then it's over.

There is not much difference between the $166 bottom and the bottoms before at $340 and $275, the volume measured in USD is similar.
There is no particular reason to think that 166 was the final bottom.

So you said yesterday. Proof?

Of course the only particular reason to think that 166 was the final bottom will be when the downward trendline is broken. That is currently 25$ away by my poor quality 'lines on a chart' TA.

The sell orders are starting to stack up on bitstamp and bitfinex.... and it seems to be hitting a brick wall @ 260.

The trend is about to move down again and follow course.

Probably can make it to 290-310 before a fight

It depends how you measure it..I don't pretend to be a technical trader. But when that magic price is hit between 285 and 350 all hell will break loose...

It doesn't work like that, he would just come up with some passive-aggressive way to change the subject to the fact that you're asking, then pose some seemingly innocuous question to the floor, to which he responds with some trolling that's already locked and loaded.
I asked this on another thread, but got no answer:[1] does anyone know whether the fruits of the Eastern Mistletoe of North America have a sticky pulp, like those of European Mistletoe?

[1] Perhaps because it was a thread where you had to asnwer each question with another question.

How do you figure? I got ~$8k in the bank, a sixty coin margin long with a base price of $226, liquidation price under $65, ~15 coins at CB and circle and coins in cold storage. I got a tradable balance of over $33 grand. How can I possibly get wiped out? You gonna dump to $64?

I'm in the catbird seat, so just admit I out-traded you this time. Nobody likes a poor loser.

You mean this one?

You probably drew that line in linear scale, never draw trend lines in linear scale, they lead to fakeouts.
Also, breaking that line doesn't mean that the final bottom is in either. The same thing happened in May, it broke the downtrend trend line and price spiked to $680, but eventually made a new low anyway, creating a new downtrend line (the one I posted, currently sitting at $357).

Regarding volume in USD:

"Quote, USD"

^The bottom volume in USD is the same as the $475 megabulltrap.

Same for other exchanges.

Yes, this is not a definitive end to the bear market, but there is a likely short squeeze to ~$350 coming before the next retest of $170.
