There is no place for child pornography on this forum - only one person brings it up all the time, the mods should deal with it. I hope you aren't defending it.

You can't sweep everything wrong with Bitcoin--all the "inconvenient facts"--under the rug.  Impossible to turn a blind eye on all the criminality of Bitcoin--it's out in the wild--the cat's out of the bag.  There are no secrets on the internet, you can't hush things up, nor should you want to.
Accept the problems for what they are, so that you may start resolving them.

Truth is so liberating--try it, just once! Smiley

Hey my only disagreement with you tarmi is speculation related.

There is no place for child pornography on this forum.

it's not about child porn on this forum, but on the blockchain.

Are you really defending this creepy child pornography obsessed freak?

And no I don't give a shit it has been uploaded in an unreadable form to 99.99999% of the population. This isn't about censorship this about morals.

This is a Bitcoin price speculation forum.

no, I am defending his right to talk about things that you bitcoiners find uncomfortable.

it does not matter if it is unreadable, but rather available.

You're starting to hurt my feelings.  Unintentionally, I hope?

The intent was not to share CP with everyone.  It was put on the blockchain by Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners.
Isn't that the whole point?

Ok

No, for pretending that child pornography is not a problem, and that children are not being hurt if you just ignore their pain.
Problems don't disappear when you ignore them.  The problems remain, they're still there.
It's downright criminal to simply avert your eyes and walk on--doing nothing to help.
Check your priorities before it's too late!

Wow, the market has been remarkable slow (boring) for the last few days. You can tell by number of people, who forgot they are in wall observer thread.

no ... not anything so catastrophic / stupid ... i don't trade on borrowed money or leverage ... just in general ... actually i'm well up / in the black / mined for gain overall ... i just ... want freedom ... not money ... as the basis for my existence ... and don't think that is likely to ever occur in america in my lifetime ... apathy on continued existence / desire for death is the only sane perspective to have in a world devoid of real freedom where quality of life is dependent on wealth ...

This thread has, er, mutated somewhat. If you want an old school experience then maybe try the first few pages with all of the numbers blanked out.

It's sort of a troll-asylum now. We keep them busy so they don't bother the proper folks.

Can you guys exactly tell me what is GBTC, and how it's working?

http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/GBTC/quote

GBTC is going to be the world's first publicly traded Bitcoin fund. Barry Silbert launched this thing in 2013 and they found a sneaky backdoor to putting a "Bitcoin fund" on a public exchange by publicly selling shares that have been held for 12+ months on an "Over the counter" market (not a top-tier one such as NYSE or NASDAQ). It is not officially an ETF (which is what the Winkle Twins are going for on NASDAQ), but it functions in much in the same way (with pretty hefty fees might I add). Effectively, each GBTC share is worth 0.1 Bitcoins, and it is set to start trading sometime this week, or so we are led to believe by Barry Silbert's Twitter account.

Ya know, the goofed out harry potter picture kinda explained it better. Roll Eyes
