Excitement & interest building. I'm calling $1000 before New Year's Day.

Who's with me?

Yes, I think so. I don't see us sticking here long and it's just too close to $1k not to head up, just to see what it's like there.

Disclosure i have over 20 yrs experience trading equities and forex. You get a feel for swings and movements.

The last guy I recall bragging about all his trading experience in Forex sold his coin for $150 and told us to re-buy at $30.

I have zero years of FX experience, so you should definitely listen to me.

I think maybe in the past a small number of large players were able to manipulate the market. The marketcap of bitcoin is now much, much larger so it's a lot more difficult for those people to control the market as maybe they used to.

all anyone has to do is spread another china rumor. it's a tired old trope but it's guaranteed to work like a charm every time.

I had to take some days off from Bitcoin! Got caught in the rollercoaster! But here I am once again waiting for the 4 digits. I saw the worst of times and held hard against all odds. Time to fight again.

I totally agree. $1000 is a small stepping stone in this moon bound mission. Nobody should sell their entire bitcoin worth at $1000.

There will be tons of fools who will help the bears when we reach ATH.... it's an absolute stupid point to sell but the sells will be there regardless and bears will try hard to crush the rally as usual

i wouldn't call $10,000 moon myself. bitcoin would still be very small in terms of world finance. it would be a very significant figure but if it did get there then there's no way it's halting around there.

a 15 billion market cap is an amazing achievement but it could still fade away. $150 billion is heading towards proper money. once enough proper money's on the line then everyone else eventually follows.

We all here believe in bitcoin - we all know that the potential is huge.

My main concern is that the current price is too heavily dependant on the Chinese. Cos ultimately, if China did have a crackdown on their exchanges, the price could well tank.

I know the volume in China can be misleading, but when the western exchanges start leading the charge this will be really bullish.

Realistic targets for BTC ? For me personally $5k is not out of the question within the next 3 or 4 years - and that also so happens to be the point at which I will be telling my boss to shove his job up his fat overpaid arse.

Come on bitcoin !!!

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Barely up a smidgen since yesterday with a big load of consolidation... currently $971USD at Bitcoinaverage.

It's a little disappointing that the Americans didn't get their long-awaited quadruple digits last night, but up is still up.

There are still a couple of days left in the year. Go Bitcoin go.

Here again - as if to make my point, we are dumping and the Chinese are holding fairly firm.

We lead the dumps , they lead the rallies.

I couldn't be happier with our wonderful Bitcoin. Also vindicated.

I suffered through declining prices in early 2014 when the Chinese government was coming down on btc. Suffered through the Gox fiasco and the resulting declining prices although I lost no funds at Gox.

Suffered through thievery and scam. Vircurex, Mintpal, and Homero got some of my btc.

Suffered eye rolling from my wife. Evaded questions from friends and relatives.

All the time, I never lost faith. Kept buying bitcoin even at the despair level under $300.

Today I'm a hero. My wife showers me with adoration. My friends and relatives look at me with new found respect.

Don't be a loser. Buy bitcoin. When it reaches $10,000 you'll be a hero too.

They load up the ask side and take away from the bid side as if we don't know its all the same entity trying to scare us into selling our coins.
