I think the first tx used the originating address as change address, so when you sent the next tx it used the funds from the (unconfirmed) first tx. I don't use blockchain wallet so I am not sure if that's how it works, but it could explain why your tx's are delaying (it is usually not good idea to send unconfirmed inputs).

No, I don't think you should worry about your funds if you sent it to the correct addresses.

Lovely to see how strong BTCTC came back from the recent dip. Currently walls are still getting eaten at Kraken. Looks like we can expect more upward movement today  Grin

Imo this is a pattern we see going on for many months now on a regularly basis. To me it looks like created on purpose for whatever reason.
We move up sharp, see a dump/dip of several hundred bucks, bounce back up, consolidate and continue rising. At least it seems to prevent the market form overheating and creating a crazy bubble. This is the good thing I can see in this pattern, and of course the possibility to buy those dips/dumps.

Ah yes this makes sense. So best thing to do is to send one transaction, wait for a confirmation then do the next? I did all three pretty much straight after each other.

Yes the addresses are correct, well that makes me feel more relaxed. Thanks again for your thoughts.  Grin

The wallet should warn you before using an unconfirmed input... I guess some don't. Also it is strange the change from the first tx came back to the originating address. It is also a possibility I am interpreting this incorrectly.

Anyway. when you do send part of your funds from a wallet and inmediately send ALL the rest it is a sure thing it will have to use unconfirmed inputs (the change from previous tx). Yes, in that case it would be better to wait for confirmation on the first one.

Not sure if anyone can help, I sent 3 transactions from my paper wallet using blockchain.info nearly 48 hours ago and all 3 are still unconfirmed. They seem to be stuck in limbo. Is there anything I can do? What if the transactions never get confirmed? Do I lose all my bitcoins?
I used the recommended regular fee at the time to send these

Hard to help if you don't post the txids.

Ah sorry here they are

Tx ID's

Thanks

I just accelerated your transaction Smiley

If you want to tip: 16Hy2dMNeqZwa4vcS7UBX1HJmHNFAvmxM2

HUH?Huh  Huh Huh Huh
I dont understand how is this possible? I will surely tip you when I can if they get confirmed soon however what you see there is my entire bitcoin portfolio and is not a lot but I will throw something your way if this works

Maybe he used the Bitmain accelerator.

I am not sure what you did here but... it seems like you did send some BTC to an address and also to the same originating address, and then you send another tx spending the previously unconfirmed tx?

Well... anyways... it should confirm sometime soon.

Hmmm well they are still not confirmed, I wonder what Bitmain is, will have to check it out.
But no I had 0.35 BTC in original address, I sent 0.05 to one exchange, then sent 0.25 to another brain/paper wallet then sent the remaining 0.049... to a different exchange.

Anyway I guess like you said they will get confirmed at some point. I was just wondering if there is a possibility I lose these coins if they remain unconfirmed

Thanks for your reply

You spent the change before the confirmation. If you own the receiving address you could do a child-pay-for-parents tx, but I think it is not necessary, I accelerated them and they should confirm soon (wait 12-24h before trying something more complicated)

So I watch another index of my own invention. (Granted, all y'all may be watching the same index, but may or may not have quantified it as such).

'What index', you may ask? Well, it is the bitcointalk page depth index. At the end of the day, check how many new pages of drek have been added to BCT's leading forum (Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Bitcoin Discussion).

Today, I count six. Six pages of drek, mostly filled with noobs being noobish. While this is tiresome, it is also a very bullish indicator. That's about half again our usual influx of newcomers to the crypto revolution.

Tomorrow we dine upon yeast piss and aborted sturgeon progeny!

this is actually not a new idea

the long term trend price of BTC is equal to the page count of this thread, so we are currently running at about .25 of the actual value...not even joking

So every post is worth 5cents. Keep it going guys Smiley (It´s not up to me anymore, i´ve contributed my 5cents for today  Grin)

I was offered what would now be about $2 per post if I put their ad in my signature.

Still not going to do it.

whose ad was that?

We could have 20 MB blocks and it would still be trivial to run a node at home on a single machine.  Mining is at peak centralization now for one reason: ASICs.  There are precious few manufacturers and they are smart enough to realize it is more profitable to just use them then to sell them.  If mining hardware were more widely available there would be much less centralization.  Block size is a red herring.

Of course, I'm merely guessing, but I guess you've not seen the recent work calculating the GINI coefficients regarding mining vis a vis other aspects of the ecosystem?

I've heard Cindicator is paying 50 cents per post to keep their thread alive. $5 everyday for a total of 10 posts, even for Jr. Member accounts.

Perhaps BTC price is going for another ATH for the event of Segwit activation tomorrow?

How it will work then will the November Segwit 2x hardfork part?

I would say the price will be under pressure until that time, that means I should sell at the coming peak?

Holding has worked well since genesis block. To be fair though long term investing generally works out.

People continue to dump their BCH as soon as they manage to split the free money drop from bitcoins. BCH paid trolls getting desperate.
Taking too long to confirm my latest tx of BCH to dump on Kraken. Guess I'll do it in the morning, and hope we see it pumped back above $700.
Zzzz...

8 hours, and 11 confirmations later, still waiting for the BitCH deposit to Confirm on Kraken.

Can't wait to rid myself of this shitcoin.

I probably should do the same ...but my view (or bad karma) leads me to believe that IF bitcoin core continues NOT to accept the 2mb hard fork on seg witness 2
and sticks to that

then

Bitmain's Jihan Wu will follow thru and fork his (what is it 30% of hash) to bitcoin cash...and we will have 3 forks split like 50/20/30 or something odd...

thus it will be a cluster...and I have a real talent for picking the wrong horse in any race

so, just gonna leave the BCH alone for now...treating it as a remote insurance policy

There is NOTHING that I can tell to make anyone act in an ADULT manner on all this stuff...so imho IF we have 3 forks and IF the 2 hardforks don't cause any problems

then the miners will float towards the 2 hardfork and block size increase options.... for the improved profits...of mining those chains and abandon seg witness as not needed

NOT saying this will happen...but am saying..that is the reason that a lot of BCH has NOT been dumped yet by me or others (again in imho)

I just see this as likely to cluster into 3 forks ...and again my horse picking skills in any race...really, really, suck..and I never discount miner greed to screw everyone in this

So I pass this on to others here to convince me otherwise my fears are valid or not....I've no clue...just my present stance on BCH

AT worse the money I could have made will go back to unicorn status and we will have ONE segwit2 2mb fork as 'supposedly' people have picked
