I think it's been pointed out pretty clearly that that is not the case.  Coinbase managed to blacklist certain bitcoins years ago, demonstrating the lack of fungibility in bitcoin.  There would be no need, indeed, no ability, to investigate for 'taint' if it was fully fungible.

What if I want the fuzz to be able to investigate my coins for taint? It's a nice option.

CoinJoin, JoinMarket, Shuffle-what-ever-thingies. ... taint is pretty much useless if someone knew to mix or premix bitcoins. Granted, it's not being done by "normal" people yet, only those in that irc chat room or something that do these transactions. But it will catch on.

Or, just atomic swap it from bitcoin to another alt, then back. Or buy the coins from a miner from mined blocks; (which might have a premium.)

how they are trying to stop the internet
Peer to Peer networking

War on file sharing
War on encryption
War on information
War on cryptocurrency

time for peer to peer currency to rise

A usable P2P mesh networking technology would be useful as well.

We still don't have a usable technology to mix transactions that does not consume even more on-chain block space. Which is, of course, space we don't have on the 1MB4EVAH chain.

bitcoin will crash  Tongue Angry

Dont worry, we have Segwit  Smiley
Unconfirmed transactions are just spam, produced by malicious agents with evil intentions in search of power. No real adoption.
Anyway, soon we will have Lightning Network, and Joe will only have to buy Lightning Coins to participate in the "great revolution". The great revolution of the fractional reserve banking 2.0.
And if you think it is not enough, all this with the sponsorship of blocks of 1MB FOREVER! We will have the most decentralized network and nodes in raspberry pi.
So, leave your stupidities and think big!

PS: Seriously, I love the 5000s  Grin  Congratulations to all!

Well this might come to a surprise to you (or you're well aware of this and just trolling  Roll Eyes), but BTC was never meant to be fully anonymous. So yeah it you want to anonymize your coins you have to pay, or wait for sidechains, or if you can't wait use an alt.

But, BTC doesn't make me breakfast for free!!! #btcfail

Am I right assuming we will consolidate here given that the growth was relatively unimpressive (as in, worthy of a good NASDAQ stock)?
Or am I too optimistic for not seeing further crashes coming?
