Yep. To date I have had a policy: I would never buy a bitcoin with dollars, only as payment for the results of my work.

Yes, kind of Rand-ish and stupid but there it is. Odd.

Surprised the BBC still don't have an article mentioning see passed 5k. They're usually on top of that mind of thing. Maybe tomorrow. Suggests there's still some legs in the rally.

It's the #1 story for the AUS MSM today:

Or buy back higher as the price keeps soaring

This could easily run away from someone trying to outsmart it. Maybe it will dip lower, but it's a risky move when there's basically zilch resistance.

Sure, same here (well not a ton, more like a tuna) fixing bitcoin and litecoin miners. Gotten pretty good at it too. I do convert bitcoin to cash to pay my taxes and expenses, but never the other way....

The BEAUTY of BTC is its predictable volatility.

There are always dips, big & small.

Besides, as I always say, life is for living, not just HODLing.

I'm sure there is a better spot for this question, but this is really the only thread (because it's the best) that I follow.

Can anyone recommend better exchange options for someone based in the U.S. than Coinbase as it relates to fees?

They are charging $200 to buy and $200 to sell a full BTC right now.  Is that normal?  4% vigorish seems awful high.

I  wish I could FOMO in a bit, but I am so fiat broke it's laughable. Should be a good story down the line, but hopefully not too far down the line!!

No brakes. Let's go to uncharted waters where the sea and the sky are indistinguishable, and the moon is within reach of my salty palm!

Why aren't you using GDAX? Same owners as Coinbase and presumably a Coinbase account holder can drop right in. Fees'll probably be about 0.25%

Gemini is another option.

looking back at the last 10 days we can clearly see the bubble popping and the first good attempt at catching the resulting knife.

you can see that when the bubble popped at ~266$ their was a big dip in price without much volume ( everyone let the knife fall  )
but now at 80-50$ rang we are seeing HUGE volume spikes when their is any kind of movement up or down.
I think if we are not already at bottom, its not too far down...
