On point, imo. That's why i expect the price to go down until china's bitcoin ban is in full effect, which should be 2 days from now, afaik. If the electrician happens to present me the bill for his work and material, i will be able to know how much fiat will be left to buy bitcoin at the bottom. Done a lot work with the house extension lately, painting, installing doors, almost no time left to read WO (you know, i need sleep too )

You are likely wrong... richie..
Funny how you have such strong conviction about this theory of a possible early bear cycle... Of course, we will see.. but I doubt that the odds are in your favor.
It's by no means a conviction. I speculated about what we might be about to see and... we've been seeing it. I'll just do what I did in previous times and keep holding. If I had conviction, I would sell to buy lower, no? If you say the BTC price is going down while its going up, then you are likely to correct sooner or later.. and if you say it in a kind of meek and ambiguous way, you are also likely to be right.. I suppose time will tell if we are in a bear cycle.. and really I don't buy your current desire to make a 3.5 year cycle claim.. seems to be convenient at this particular moment. Regarding what you would do if you had conviction can be all over the place.. Of course, none of us should be so strongly convicted about anything that we do not make some kinds of hedges. In 2014, I chose my hedge to be 10% / 90%, even though I gravitated into 13.5% / 86.5%... .but then after a while, bitcoin's price appreciation has changed my hedge to various locations such as 90% /10% and even variations between such as maybe 45%/55% - ish in the 2018 correction down to $3,124.. and of course, I am going to take some responsibility in terms of how I let that ride - even if sometimes in retrospect, I might consider that mistakes were made - yet each of us must balance whether we want to take any action and especially consider if taking action after already having a 56% price correction would be a great time to sell rather than to either buy or just HODL through it. Peeps do not always do what seems to be the more practical of hedging approaches, and it is not just mindrust who makes those kinds of mistakes, even though he dow continue to serve as an ever giving decent example of problematic chance taking that ends up NOT working out. morning charts

Yeah right... .. lot's of sorcery wannabe peeps proclaim to have those.. but their status as sorcerer does not tend to last much longer than a few short-term price moves, at best.. even though there are quite a few of the wannabes that do come to these here parts after the price move fact and proclaim that they knew where this was going and that they had already tried to warn us... blah blah blah Use those experts at your peril.

Space Cowboys ... That was a decent movie.
As for predicting the future of bitcoin prices, mine are overly long-term and conservative. It's going up. It's going to $100k, then to $500k, then to $1m. But the time scale is much longer, like a few years or decades even, to the point some people think it's bearish.

Yes..I liked that movie as well..thought it a good role for Daniel Craig Think there was a couple of sequels...maybe without Craig...but I havent seen em About pricing...I agree with you that the long term outlook still seems an asymmetrical bet to me marcus had some nice thoughts about synthesising some different data points into a price indicator...sad to say I have only fiddled with his concept in the most rudimentary fashion...nothing remotely conclusive yet I was looking at a 4x theory in halving vs price resistance but I think I just have cognitive bias unfortunately ie 250-1k-4k-16k-54k ect Perhaps with those numbers adjusted a bit...dunno Kinda in a lets just wait and see what happens mode honestly Wondering if there will be an attempt at dumping on Dorseys and Musks head tomorrow at the B conference...again just have to wait and see Also thought there was going to be something from the SEC on the 27th or 28th...maybe got that wrong...might be something in August heck..why not both My best guesstimate is something will start to change between September 6th and October 4th @jjg I thought they preferred the title of Wizards rather than Sorcerers
