Hmm, all I see is the post-overshoot ringing pattern, same as April. That tells me we're settling somewhere near this price, and the long-term aftermath of April would tell me we'd be in for a bear market after the price settles.

But the positive news cycle hasn't slowed ($25M for Coinbase in Series B? Are you kidding me?), so the bear market will probably be exceptionally brief, if it manifests at all.

Don't forget all the coverage the cars getting and that's only getting started, next time someone says 'but what's it backed by?' I can say goats car Smiley

Well, this is not funny anymore, I definitely shorted BTC at very bad time  Cry

Well, it is certainly sad when you have to learn the hard way.

It's not like tons of us here don't try to drill it into everyone . . .

Don't. Short. Bitcoin.

I honestly hope you can close your short on the retrace.

I made quite lot of money of doing all kind of shit with BTC so I don't really care about "Don't sell BTC" policy at all. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win, I would be nowhere without risks I am taking all the time, my BTC would be worth approx. the losing position I am at now - few thousands, so nothing. I only wish I shorted just my stake of BTC without margin stuff, wouldn't be too worried then at all.

But thanks for wishes, I certainly do hope it too Cheesy

He said don't 'short' BTC not sell...if you get confused between the two I suggest saving yourself some time and giving your money to a deserving charity. Wink

BTW  just reading the last few pages...you back DGC because of the name??!!  That's pretty sketchy logic.

And why are you promoting Cryptsy....its a comprehensive alt-exchange but a lot of people seem to suffer funding issues there.

It's a common misconception here on the forum to interchange "shorting" and "selling".  I remember epic debates to get people to accept that there is a difference between the two.

In this case, there was actual leveraged shorting going on . . .

Watch the price magically move down now.

Why did you not wait to see if the weekend dip occurs?

I saw you are holding DGCs. How high do you think it will go (I have 200)?

Haha, yeah it usually finishes like that.

It was too risky to wait anymore since I was on margin, would be utter shit if it would go to 1000 or so and you never know with btc. Some guys are obviously long on Stamp and Bitfinex and putting up big walls. Now if it continues to rally today I might reconsider to short it again but it would be at much higher point this time so eventual dump wpuld bring higher profit. Though I probably won't, it's risky stuff.

I don't know really about DGC, looks like this pump might push it to 0005-0006. In it's previous pumps this summer DGC was able to reach 0006-0007 and overall crypto situation was much worse than it is now. I've sold 20k at 00046 though, it's huge profit since my entry point was at 000045, and I needed something to cheer me up for this shorting loss Cheesy

But I can see it at 5$ sometime in 2014 if BTC continues it's rise to like 5k or something.

We can either look at this as me being wrong, or there having been two consecutive bubbles. I prefer the latter.  Smiley

it looks it was good decision to get out with loss from that position, would be much worse now.
