trap?
Possibly, only time will tell. But we're seeing good support bids being placed, and if China wakes up and sees it rising from an overnight low, they may panic buy and jump on as well. But at the same time they may wake up to news about the third parties and panic sell. Too much uncertainty to know for sure what we're in right now. it's only 450 coins from china bottom.

Well I thought I was playing a great game - sold a few at just under 900 - bought back at around 812.
I was convinced 800 would not be breached.
Then I watched it come way down and held on.
Then got edgy and sold some on this bounce back at under 750 - assuming it was not over yet.
So.... so far I am in fiat - missing out, perhaps.....
We shall see - but I am not at all sure I have 'made coins' yet, I will freely admit.

Fuck yeah, guessed the bottom on stamp with a 670$ buy in kinda okay. I finally can quote myself: I'm going back to my precious alts trading, I'm tired of btc vs usd one and I'm shit in it.
Good job, let the good vibes roll Maybe we can see another swing, so im full bitcoin again? Because 90% bitcoin is just not enough to me. Full bitcoin reporting in. Fuck chinese news. We should move on. Nuff' said. Choo choo, motherfucker!

Good night, every one. I'll let the night decide if I made the right choice. I'll tell in the morning.
EDIT: I'm in this position, because I couldn't resist making "just one more trade". Damn. Another lesson learnt.

Gox has been super stagnant for days, even before last night's drop.
Looks like that push to 4600 is ending now.

Interesting, it shows the exact opposite of the long term charts, maybe trying to set a precedent for an inverse relationship between PM's and BTC? Gold parity was the breaking point, it'll be interesting to see how much more news tries to push an inverse relationship. Ok, PMs and bitcoin correlations are definitely interesting, but zerohedge (or one of the Tylers at least) can draw the most idiotic consequences sometimes in random noise. I don't remember the article, but in April boom they tried to correlate daily bitcoin movement with some minor macro trend, while there was much more relevant purely bitcoin related news going on, completely lost my respect for them back then.

Why do you guys so vehemently commit to buy and hold, only to blow it when it's at the very bottom and sell?
If you committed to buy and hold on the way up, what it SHOULD mean is that you have already psychologically braced yourself for any sort of drop like this. You've probably decided you're not good at day-trading, so you hold. The problem is it's very easy to commit to buy and hold when it's going to da moon, but will you maintain that sort of mentality when it is dropping like a stone? If you cannot do so, you should probably have cashed out enough while it was going up so that a drop wouldn't crush you. You know it will go down eventually, whether it be in a bear trap or a crash, so if you really want to stay in bitcoins, just save the proceeds from your bitcoins until it goes down, then buy some more.
