My first Halving... 2024.. I was here...
Congratulations to all bitcoiners. Thank you God, Thank you Satoshi.
I just missed the 2012 halving by a few weeks. Held tight through the spring 2013 dip, winter 2014 dip and every dip since. Took profits in 2017 in the form of new teeth and a place in Mexico, and in 2021 in the form of a private lake in Ontario and then a house in downtown Toronto. Each halving has springboarded me to a new higher level of living happily ever after. Next year I hope to achieve inter-generational wealth (8 figures) with zero debt, including the taxman. Indeed. Thank you Bitcoin, thank you Satoshi and thank you whoever or whatever you believe in. Bitcoin is incredible and has the power to change lives, I love reading these stories, it always renews my faith in the choices I made. Being a Bitcoiner means being persevering, knowing that even after the storm the sun will shine again, and much brighter than before. |

Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything? What is the Goxcoin news? They are issuing their coins or they are not? What is the news, and why would it affect BTC prices? A bunch of nothing burgers and add them all up and get more nothing burgers? Is that what we are talking about?
Same old guff. Whales knock the price down on specious news then hoover up some coins for cheap from weak hands. |

My only complaint re this interesting and eventful evening are the ridiculous fees I've been seeing since Block 840000. Most of them have median fees over 1000 sats/vbyte (data from mempool.space), some well over 2000! Fees are over 1000 for the next three blocks. Median for next one as of now: 1800 ($118.00 for a simple tx).
Looks like it's going to take a while before I can buy some more.

Not that i'm fat but for increasing my physical condition/endurance.
