Its not even a ban, there are no direct laws or anything, its just typical russian "blablabla the central bank and prosecutor's office will work together to fight against the crypto terrorism plague"
The maximum effect that i can see happening is that some russian based exchanges would close, just like metabank. And something like banks not wiring to the btc exchanges, but nobody in russia is doing was doing that anyway.

It looks like the news is from the prosecutor's office, not a bank. |

It's not crashing anymore, bitcoin actually skyrocketed back up again 30 minutes ago. Not all the way back, but from around 620.

the "Crash" was just the synchronization process with gox and other exchanges.
No real threat to bitcoin, its a good time to buy now.

It looks like the news is from the prosecutor's office, not a bank. Well i can read russian so thats just the rough translation that i did. Anyway its pretty obvious that the initiative comes from the central bank, the prosecutor's office is just a tool |
