If you love the technology it doesn't matter what the price in USD because the technology is free The big problem is 100000 people bought bitcoins off 10000 people and made them super rich this incentivised 1000000 to buy the coins off them so their coins 2 da mooned. Many people didn't stop to consider where the next wave was coming from because they're thick as shit and blind greedy! Kama for suing Zuckerberg Winklevosses he's a business genius you're not Wiklevosses may be good rowers, but their understanding of finance is either very immature or they're knowingly running an highly unethical and possibly illegal scheme with bitcoin.

I'm sure that it's good that this drop is happening. Drop is caused by large influx of stolen coins (probably from Gox theft) to exchanges. In some way, scammers are returning stolen coins to community. When they are done, community will control those coins and things will be more stable and optimistic, unless some other bitcoin company is hacked, but I'm sure that they got more mature by now.
agree, theft is a big issue in this downtrend and resulting crash. nevertheless i am not so sure about exchanges being safer today. only stamp has implemented multisig for example. Could it not be also because Gavin warned people to stay away from bitcoin (it's dangerous) and compared it to the dotcom bubble... Just a thought Someone should tell Gavin to limit his public appearances and stick to CIA meetings. Its a little like Elon Musk saying TSLA is overvalued "market cap is kinda high right now..." lol Gavin said the true...same like Satoshi did about the Steam, saying it was too early for the integration for such a big network and the same state we are seeing now...we are not even ready for the mainstream yet and people are calling the Bitcoin dead ...i thing drop is caused by the fact, that more people wanted to sell than buy, simple as that which mean, we were not supposed to be in 1200 price in 2013...we should go there first time this or next year...this is shake out of non believers in cryptocurrencies...nothing fundamental has changed nor the working on the blockchain and btc related projects - quite the opposite...everything is just starting

Inca, this must be where wallstreet and secret big forces finally get in right? I mean they're dying to get in for a year now but were waiting for the price to down and all the weak hands shaken before they would gobble up all the cheap coins. So are we finally there?

I kept reading how we need to go down before we magically go up again. We reached 150. Not low enough yet? Tell me, when will the magic happen. At what price will people suddenly start buying and take us to the moon. Clearly not at 150. 100 maybe? 80?

Pretty vague imho. It could mean 'If you still have a nice stash, sell now, and you will be thankful that you still have some purchasing power left' too, no?

Those up to their ears in the BTC world tend to get excited about things the rest of the world doesn't give the remotest shit about. Blockchain.info had a habit a while back of dropping heavy hints about radical upcoming developments. The results might have been radical for them. No one else particularly cared. Anyway it'll be fun to see what transpires.

If someone would be able to find a way on how to explain to an educated man that bitcoin the currency is anything more then a gamble. That would cause new interest in already occupied locations.

one does has to wonder if there is something more driving this? If one has such tendencies, yes.
