This kind of attitude is rampant in the alt-crypto world (specifically, the open-source/libertarian/anonymous community).

It's an attitude that needs to be addressed. And it can only be addressed by the community itself.

A lot of hostility on this thread. Clearly some are not fairing so well with their investments but why resort to name calling, and involving people's mothers? This thread used to be filled with intelligent people debating the future of Bitcoin, now it looks more like a highschool lunch room of testosterone filled boys arguing over a girl.

Finding time to post on forums is not indicative of success and wealth or the lack thereof.

Even lowly white-collar workers can post from their cubicles.

It's the ones who seem to spend all day, every day posting here that make me wonder.

If you invested wisely instead of flushing your money down the Bitcoin toilet, you too would have plenty of free time to post on forums.  Or do anything you want, for that matter Smiley

LOL

It's exactly that hostility that some of us find so hilarious.

As for being a highschool lunchroom, I see it as being more like a kindergarten sandbox.

If it wasn't for the "the best part of you ran down your mothers leg" comment I'd agree.

What happened to the glowing ignore button???  I have so many on ignore I can not keep up with them.  Sometimes I click unignore to see if I had ignored on accident.  If the button still glowed it could be assumed it was for good reason without having to see the garbage again.  PLEASE bring back the glowing ignore button.

a fiat crypto-currency is not going to be different next time around as it was for the usd and euro : http://www.valuewalk.com/2015/01/swiss-bank-currency-war/
hopefully at some point men will realize that "trusting in god" for the fed to print tons of usd has been a failure .
now we supposed to trust in ripple labs to 'make money out of thin air'.

I prefer it without the glowing ignore button because there are less distractions that way.

I agree.. so many ignores and so little time Cheesy  Seems that bashing bitcoin is a full time job for some.  Wonder how much it pays?  Thinking a dollar a day will get you, your very own bitcoin basher. LOL

Now, if there could just be nice discussions on price movements.  That would be great, thanks.

better in which way exactly? Bitcoin is open source protocol and can be developed...also sidechains Wink...and other things...some other coins may bring some innovative things, but it doesn't mean they will be secure...More complex system you make, more difficult to make it safe from hackers...and honestly, hackers mostly care now about BTC and not other coins...which is also good indicator, that BTC is #1...i would like to see when the smartest blackhats will start to search bugs in your ripple or other coins...BTC has the hardest part from all coins and you should be thankfull it is here, because all the other coins are live or dead with bitcoin
