don't do margin unless you have moon countdowns or other hints to indicate big moves ahead

10% interest to borrow the USD

i highly believe btc will outpace that

main risk to me is that bitfinex folds

10% for month?

Take a bank loan would be cheaper

...
can we either crash to $50 or rally already?

Let me give you the relevant excerpt from the Bitcoin whit paper:

...is all very scientific and complicated.  Suffice it to say that the protocol is optimized for maximum pain...

pretty good rates.

I doubt one can't get 12%/year by trading BTC, even in a bear market

i mean if you are not in and out the last year would have been ugly just straight holding

and you have to be sure to have enough btc collateral on deposit to not get margin called / liquidated

and pray bitfinex does not get gox'd

its not quite risk free or more people would be doing it

Just another stunt to push us into the 230's so they can short even more.

The real question is does anyone want to sell that many bitcoins for that price?

We're at a pretty long time at these prices now, anybody with that many bitcoins either sold well above 300 in 2014. Sold into the rally to 300 or sold in the fall back down to here.

I can't see anyone who has bought into bitcoins in the past month who chooses to sell 'now'.

There's no downward momentum anymore, the only way I see it happening is if some big players come out the woodwork and properly start shorting again, but, they have to worry about the "there's always a bigger whale :^)" meme

Meanwhile, I'm shorting with my 0.1 btc, while their playing with a few hundred probably.
