The fact that the last super-dumps have roughly moved the price by a gnats fart only to steadily rise again to $220-230 makes me feel something I haven't done for over a year, genuinely optimistic.
Current price action really isn't a cause for optimism - not least because it has barely begun. We'll see. I don't like the volume today. The dip below 220 resolved itself positively, so I was too pessimistic, which makes a refreshing change.

looking good. "Although customers who made deposits earlier in the week may still be dealing with some issues, it appears that Bitstamp has found a temporary fix to their bank wire USD deposit issues. They expanded on their quick fix in the second half of their statement: “Those who make USD denominated wire transfers moving forward will need to specify the alternate intermediary bank provided on our deposit page until further notice. We are working to find a permanent solution. We appreciate your patience and support as the bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve.” Although Bitstamp has found a bank to fill in for Standards Chartered Bank over the short term, they’ll definitely need to find a new long term banking partner. Banking relationships have been an issue for bitcoin exchanges since their inception, and many former Mt. Gox customers will remember the long delays that plagued that defunct exchange for over a year. Bitcoin has been able to make strong leaps forward into the mainstream over the past few years, but it appears that some banks still think the potential benefits of the technology are not worth the risks." 5:20pm EST

I say the same thing now about people that use stamp as I did when Gox was around. Even when I was a noob Gox was the last place I would have thought to put anything in seeing all the issues they had up to that point.

So what do you suggest, people stop trading BTC because all exchanges are at risk at some point? People have learned, and now its about risk vs reward. I have some lovely speculation for everyone on this thread. Does anyone notice the correlation between the mining hash with price bottoms. Seems like miners are selling BTC, then turn mining gear on to earn back. Might not be related but fun to think about

There is nothing quite as permanent as a temporary fix.

Friend on Wall Street says pump to ~250 today or tomorrow. Then it will drop to around 230 and stick there for a bit.
My neighbor says the great rally of 2015 will push bitcoin to $700.

My neighbor says the great rally of 2015 will push bitcoin to $700. My chinbeard uncle says aliens made bitcoin, and they have a massive mining operation on the dark side of the moon so they don't have to worry about overheating.
