How can you gentlemen live with yourselves, knowing that your little "hobby" supports TERROR?
$500,000 worth of mdma at street prices is Australia. ... whats that then 500g? Lol, you're paying a grand a g? Wat?! Anyhow, didn't bother reading the article. Assumed it was another Bitcoiner hopped up on bath salts and jerking it to child porn. (Victimless crime).

Facts lel. Where did you get your edumacation degree? Sesame Street? Your post is walls of text full of personal opinions and other garbage. I just quoted the Boston Fed researchers from that article. Since oda.krell was talking it as a bullish sign and that bitcoin is a great investment, I simply showed him (with quotes taken from the article) that they actually claim the opposite and said that bitcoin is "unlikely to succeed" Excuse me. It looked to me like kindergarten crayon letters the way you formatted the quotes. Let me guess, they love the technology but something other than the leading network is going to prevail and is going to be better because they are in charge? Cause they've done so well with fiat so far right?

Did you see that "bullish on the technology" actually meant that it is going to spur innovation while better technologies are created or adopted and not that the bitcoin network or bitcoin the currency is going to be adopted in any way? No, you didn't, you just read "bullish" on a coindesk article title and started jerking off. Keep ignoring facts bruh "Cause they've done so well with fiat so far right?" ^You are just an insane man rambling on the subway

I did read the article and there is nothing you could possibly bring to my attention that I didn't know as far as facts about bitcoin or the Fed goes. You are sounding a little shrill lately. I'd recommend time off work and some decent rest before studying up on markets, networks, and other tough things to comprehend. You'll feel better and learn so you can share more good things with your fellow life forms instead of whatever it is you do now.

I'm not concerned about teh n00bs, but rather how their goofy self-mutilation affects Bitcoin as a whole, and how this public perception affects the value of my investment. I don't even particularly care if stupid n00bs lose money, as long as they do it discretely, quietly, not center-stage under the spotlight.
I'm not a moralfag, I'm looking out for myself. Just like a guy quietly moving serious weight wouldn't let a punkass crack dealer set up on his stoop to push bunk. Hint: it's not because he's a nice guy worried about crackheads not getting their due bang for the buck.
TL;DR: Enlightened self-interest. If some noobs get schooled in the process? Gravy!
Typical trollbear

Typical trollbear Not sure why you keep quoting that. Yeah, educating you (the [not so] great [but definitely] unwashed) coincides with my self-interest. You should be dropping to your knees and thanking me. Why didn't ur moms teach you manners, Bitcoiners?

Looks like some people here still use the fact that bitcoin recovered from a almost complete retrace crash in 2011/2012 when marketcap was more than 100 times smaller than today (and the whole landscape was completely different) as an argument that it will do the same now.
*sigh*
