I think he means a setting for newbie jail.

That would be most welcome.

Theymos please reinstitute newbie jail!

Amen.  It's like 90% trollspam these days.

I think the current crop of newbies, or the newbie rather, is committed enough to create an account and wait it out before ejaculating all over us again. It'll have a few accounts maturing each day ready to let rip.

Newbie jail?  Real jail is too good for them!  Young hooligans hiding behind anonymity, exploiting our hatred of regulations & love of freedoms.  They have no scruples!
There must be a way we could integrate blockchain technology into this forum and stop their unlawful shenanigans Angry

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I got the solution to the troll problems!

--->  Decentralized posts, decentralized moderators, decentralized admins and decentralized ignore function!

Eventually even the beartrolls will just have to adapt to this decentralization singularity tipping point  Cool

This is why forums have -ineligible- moderators. They should  -scrambled signal -do their job and help keep this forum clean of this kind of troll spam.

And what's next, pig ? Deleting comments that don't favor Bitcoin ? You think you are on the shitcoin section ?

All i'm reading in here is freedom of speech, decentralized, uncensored and you are trying to take those away from me! How dare you ?

As DecentralizeAllThePosts!! has so incisively pointed out, introducing forum moderation is a concession to centralization.  It stifles freedoms by creating a central point of failure...  And constitutes an appeal to authority, which everyone who ever read Wikipedia knows is a logical fallacy and exactly what those Statist Pigs want us to do.

You just cannot say that, as it ain't that easy what you think, to moderate so many users and about keeping the forum clean, I think it's not just theirs, but everyone's responsibility as we are given a "Report to Moderator" link to report them if we think that the post/comment ain't relevant to the topic it is posted in... So, instead of asking them, why not you also try to do their jobs to understand how hard it is to stop this BS nowadays???

Bulltrolls who's only job is cheerleading Bitcoin want back a the newbie jail since beartrolls are trolling the Troll-Observer. I swear, there's absolutely no difference between the level of bulltrolls and beartrolls, just roaring in the opposite direction.

But if Theymos does not give you back your newbie jail, why don't beg Adam to moderate the Troll-Observer in bulltrolls favor? Or if he doesn't, than go out, open another thread with a new moderator who is willing...

...there you guys can establish your sect, apart from the outside only with other cultists. No one will miss you by the way.

I would be so happy if all this 2013/2014 hipsters jail themselves.

It just seems I will have to post the ignore list once every 24hrs. I'm clicking "ignore" away as fast as I can. There's only one sane explanation though. NLC is Theymos?  Grin
