It's only psychological but going & staying below 240 is kind of demoralising.

No, its not psychological. You are not dreaming. You are demoralised.

And if you don't perk up soon, we shall have to continue beating you.

The original statement is a tautology.

Your statement is paradoxical.

Considering the amount of rocket and train gifs/pics vs price movement the last year, I would think it falls within the paradox category.

The catch is that you must give the bitcoins to Grayscale, they will give you fresh BIT shares, and you must keep them for 1 year before you can sell them on the OTCQX market.  Good luck...
Dont forget that for $50m in bitcoin, you must give them $100m. Just to feel 'comfortable'. Yeah, that will work.

Actually, if Grayscale gets $50m worth of bitcoin, it will return shares that maybe stand for $48m worth of bitcoins.   But only SecondMarket can do that.  So I suppose that SecondMarket will charge you $100m, buy $50m worth of bitcoin, do the above, and give you $98m worth of shares that stand for only $48m worth of bitcoin.

Capishe now why bitcoin ventures get so many millions from VC investors?

I've watched you become almost imperceptibly more skeptical over time. And funny. I like that!

way shorter posts, as well  Cheesy

How could a person NOT become more skeptical, shorter and funnier with nearly 5 months of bitcoin price stagnation?

If this is true, then it explains a lot, regarding the difference from the exchanges. Do you have any source about this info? I constantly kept scratching my head why this is happening...

In the menu to the left of the OTCQX page, there is a page of "Filings" and other documents.  The Annual Reports include the rules of the fund:

http://www.otcmarkets.com/financialReportViewer?symbol=GBTC&id=135313

BTW there is a "Quarterly Report" for Q1 2015 posted yesterday on that page.

The slide in price seems to have stopped for the time being at least.
Bears haven't been able to take us any lower.
Do we think that 230 is the bottom at least in the short term?
Any ideas which direction the price will head next?

I'm expecting another uptick to the $250 mark this weekend.

Its not that the "bears" have not been able to take any lower further, its just that the bear 🐻 doesn't want you to go further lower. He is just waiting for the price to gain some momentum again so that people themselves start dumping their coins that they are buying at the current rate.

Or, Bitcoin has only recently made itself accessible and relevant to society as a whole, which should eventually lead to higher demand than previously seen.

Alright friends, I have 8000$ to play with in trading on BFX today. Should I open a long right now to close at 250 by monday?
Im thinking we may drop to ~232 before we rebound to either 250 or at the very least back in the high 240s.
Debating if I should short right now.
Its always a beautiful day in bitcoinland   Cheesy

Why don't you just buy and hold for few years? It's boring but if fun is main factor for your investing strategy, maybe you can play casino - that is even more fun...

I have coins stashed for the long term already, but those coins are not paying my bills right now. I am trying to make a living trading and the only way to do that on a daily basis is to buy and sell every day. A casino is not more fun. At a casino you loose money. Any time I am profiting I am enjoying myself.
I do play a lot of poker on Betcoin.Ag though
