I think 400 possible for sure... but will it? lol
To get to new highs BTC has to make short work of 400-1000, everyone knows what happened two years ago, $1000 is complete expected for all buyers right now....I have no idea who is dumb enough to sell a single coin with this trend

1000 is hard dude. $31 after sitting between 8 and 5 for a year was not so difficult. somehow 1000 after sitting around 200 for along time seems harder, though the ratio is not so different.

spread is now 15$
careful, bulls!
If I owned that 6k short on finex, I would cover slowly if I was still trading with or against the price. If I wanted the bubble to pop, I would cover 50-70% of my position hoping to create a top.

Well, six months ago 68% of the coins were already mined. Why wasn't the price ~$340 back then?
Didn't investor know then that, within six months, 70% of the coins would be mined?
Easy, because everyone wants to buy "at the bottom", so the bottom comes and sits there for an entire year while they look at the screen and say, "hmm seems pretty stable here, looks like the bottom is in, but I think i'll wait and see if there's a flash crash, then I'll buy some then". Then the train starts to leave without them and they realize they're a fucking idiot. That and shorters are good at keeping the price from moving...until they fail and lose everything: Hey now, who are you quoting?

Its hard to imagine back when it was steady at 900 ish Its like a dream almost... I made sure to get a piece of that just the same starting to take the same trend leading up to that Dec. though... lets see if this rise sticks

Price prediction is a dangerous game - it has a habit of making you look like a fool. But here goes, for your entertainment and pleasure.
My guess is that this train will keep going until we get well past the ATH, then it will fall back like a lead balloon, to somewhere above where we are now.
I wouldn't try to sell at the peak, because you can't spot the peak until we are well on the way down. So my advice is to hold on the up. Hold on the down. Wait a few months or a year or 2 for the next round which will be bigger than this one.
What is driving the price? I think it is just the close timing of the China capital controls, the EU VAT ruling, and making the front page of the Economist.

According to 1 week Bitcoinwisdom chart from Bitstamp, we only have to break the 385 level, then the next stop will be around 600.

The same bullshit over and over again, recycled to infinite by these short-minded delusional man childs in this thread. Bitcoin goes up 10-20-30 percent and immediately you get to see the imbecility unfolding for the x'th time.
The same "People fled away because of MtGox, Dark Web", "The unbanked of Africa are finally getting it", "China's economy is collapsing", "Greece is buying" dumb arguments. I bet they are all rushing to buy this unscalable technology. By the way, did the block size debate ever ended ? Why is BTC all of a sudden worth 60% more than the last month, even though nothing of substance happened?
I'm used to seeing these types of pump and dump phases with almost every shitcoin that was ever invented, on a daily basis in some altcoin exchanges, so it makes it so much hilarious to read some of the garbage people are posting in here. Bitcoin will remain for many years to come nothing but a pump and dump scheme, but on a larger scale. It moves slower than Titanic and unless you have hundreds/thousands of BTCs that you are willing to trade, you'd be better off trading some altcoins. They are bringing the same random movements, only that they are faster, with a much higher volatility, less bullshit talk and the only trade off being a lower volume.
Anyways, have fun dreaming about your retirement years, those luxury cars and the houses by the beach. We will talk again at 250$. It shouldn't take long.

I can't see this having much impact. Taiwan is not exactly a BTC powerhouse, and if Taiwan says "heads", you can bet China will say "tails". It kind of gives it street cred & legitimacy elsewhere.
