What's the best way to buy bitcoins instantly? circle?

Where have you been? Circle threw in the towel a few months back. Now they point their orphans to Coinbase.

I never gave a shit about circle, coinbase requires ID's and documents though right?

Maybe in a month or two, you'll be able to drive to a convenient store in New Hampshire and buy bitcoins at the same time as you're buying a morning coffee.

What about Abra? Anyone try it yet?

I've worked as a Federal contractor and from my experience, Federal workers hate to come in on Fridays.

So my guess, they'll decide early Friday morning then call it a week or not come in at all on Friday then put it off until Monday.

If the ETF gets approved what kind of immediate pop are we looking at, $100, $200, $300?

I'm not too sure where the hype can go from here. The basket buying will be done. What's up for sale via ETFs doesn't impact the market. It may be a while before they're up and running anyway. Either it sparks some irrational bonkersdom or things settle down again.

Probably a lot of shorts will get liquidated if it gets approved and the price will bump up a bit and then settle once people realize a Bitcoin ETF isn't going to change the world.

I think you're right, at Monday's they still haven't made the decision... then the ETF will be approved Smiley

This was the right time for a good poll: it would have been good to hear from all of us here about the possible price target in both cases: ETF approval or rejection. IMHO I see the value could go down to $850 if rejected, up to $1500 if approved.
In first case I see a fast correction because new people will come onboard rather soon

I hate to say it, but it's not a given it will be approved.

I think it's 50/50. So although I may be told I am a fool, I am not 'all in' - I have cashed in my trading stash in (keeping cold store untouched) and left the fiat on exchange.

I think approval means volatility, so I can trade any swings, or even just get the fiat out and treat myself if it runs away, price wise.

However:  If, as I think is realistic, it is a 'no' - then (given the high expectations in the CC community) there will certainly be a dip and I will be able to buy it.  I have my bids placed.

I hope I am wrong, but I feel better knowing either way I will be better off overall.

i'm thinking 950 or 1800

up or down, the initial correction will be sharp, but after that, we will either recover from 950 or keep pushing to new highs after 1800. there's no fighting this bull, sure we can correct one way or the other but, the trend is set.

If we don't hear anything by the close of today there will be a lot of confusion.

I'm prepared for both situations - would be great if we got approval but for me its a win either way, I either gain more BTC or my BTC gains in value =)

Well if we haven't heard anything by end of Monday it's auto approval surely. My point is there are a lot of people who think it's today. Therefore,  if we hear nothing by the end of today certain people will think it's been approved.

As far as I am aware it's Monday 11pm GMT deadline. 5-6pm EST  (or there abouts)

Waiting until Monday evening? I'm on GMT.... ugh.

I reckon today.  At least no new fiat can get in until Monday (if it's a 'yes' and comes today).  That said, a 'no' today will mean a deeper dip for the same reason.

It seems that if we don't hear anything today then we must still wait until close of business Monday before we start to second guess anything.  I'm expecting to have to wait until the very last moment on Monday to find out either way.  That way, any earlier news will be a pleasant surprise but the wait won't drive me mad.  I can wait patiently until Monday night  Smiley
