Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Imagine someone with long position opened - price soars to 1336$, guy is extremely happy and 15 seconds later position is liquidated by broker because of 1069$ drop. LOL

I actually misread Marcus' comment into thinking it was approved.  Had a big position open, failed to sell at the top, luckily no liquidation and escaped with some profits...

EDIT: from the quotes it would seem that he initially did say that is was approved.

Clearly the ETF will be approved. Someone with insider information just confirmed that. Is now the cheapest time to buy ever again?

Will the SEC take back there decision after this shit show?

LOL, if anything it not "our" fault. Its theirs, they have to take care that nothing leaks before the announcement.

They could very well have an internal audition about what happened.

This seems quite likely that some insider knows about the ETF approval decision. It could also be someone trying to pump and then dump quickly too, taking advantage of the imminent news that should be out soon! Smiley

If I had a large stash of fiat and wanted to make some more then I would probably start buying up BTC just when everyone is waiting to hear if the ETF was approved or not. Peeps would then see price beginning to moon and think "hey someone knows something that the ETF has been approved" and then get all the minnows buying in on the idea. Then BAM, sell, sell and sell some more and make a tidy sum on the way back down.
Only thing is that seemed way too fast to be able to make any money out of it if that was the case.

Seen fake Reddit ETF rejections, seen orchestrated pump right now along "has been approved ??" questions, so what else awaits us?

I found a fake "it's been approved" entitled youtube video. It was only after I clicked it that I found out it contains no real news.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBmNDvP_3Mo

Nobody seems to have any real news yet.

Going to climb and climb at this point. Everyone believes that someone has insider info that its going to be approved, so everyone and their mother is buying.

Hmmm. ETF wouldn't be too happy to see blatant insider trading. Could that be grounds for not favouring the green light?

This day is starting to feel like a cheesy adventure movie where you get a massive dose of action at the very beginning and then have to put up with a boring period of plot development.

I'm going back to bed. See you all at noon.

I notice itBit jumped up to second place for USD volume since the pump. Are OTC itBit traders pumping the price because they know something we don't?
