Seems the bottom is over $1000, around $1050 at this time.  The Chinese exchanges have also tanked in tandem so they are inline with the US losses already - but some could further sell when they wake up in person.  Likely hit another $100-200 lower max.

Uh yeah.
They were tired from their PBoC screwing up their lives with those locking withdrawals in their own countries exchanges. So they were exhausted from their own problems.

That is the 21 million dollar question. I've got a buy order waiting for the low $800s but I doubt it will go that low but here's hoping for another flash crash or two.

this dump was so F'ing sharp, bottoms in.... 975

market was really on the ball for this on, but it wouldn't be surprising to retest <1000$, also not a bad chance we actually manage to hit 950 on the next "flash crash"

Maybe there is a lesson here. Why go asking for permission when you already have an asset which doesn't require it? This ETF never made sense to me from the start. The only argument I've ever seen for it is so people can put their 401k in "Bitcoin".

Spot on. Also why did the SEC wait until the last possible hour on the thrice extended delays to announce with great fanfare (and huge insider gaming trading it appears) to disapprove? And it seems they never gave the Winklevoss a chance to withdraw their application before the deadline either it appears ... hung those poor feckers out to dry. I'd be super pissed if I was them.

SEC proves to be just another tool for the Deep State to defend the monopoly money powers and entrenched vested interests. No surprises there.

The ETF was conceived to enable the twins to cash out their million coins without crashing the market. Simply provide the ETF with its supply at market price until you are out. Question is -how will they cash out now?

There's a big ass OTC market out there that knows they won't have much use for these coins any more. I suppose it depends on whether all the OTC people were depending on a yes too. If they were there's going to be coins for everyone.  

Or of course they could just sit on them and sell them higher a while down the line.
