winklevosses: can you regulate our security? SEC: we cannot regulate it because it is currently unregulated Let's construct something ad infinitum ( A play on regulation ): A regulator regulates all those, and only those, who do not regulate themselves. The question is, does the regulator regulate himself?

You only need to know the "trend": Has the establishment / authorities, ever done anything to pump BTC? No. They have done exactly the opposite (hammering BTC with "negative news"). And BTC rises despite these. BUMP

Kraken stop losses not working. Wiped out my entire account (5000 euros)
This is not the first time either.
I´m done with kraken for sure.
I notified them that I want full compensation or I will report them to the police.
good luck with that....it's just too bad, but i feel that people were overextended. It happened to me before in regular markets, but i don't play with margin anymore.

The FED's going to raise the rate on Wednesday. That should compensate for the ETF rejection and stabilise Bitcoin's price.

The FED's going to raise the rate on Wednesday. That should compensate for the ETF rejection and stabilise Bitcoin's price.
why would it? ...I fail to see the connection. This is cointelegraph's explanation of the reason. It's speculating the rate raise could pump Bitcoin beyond $1,300 (again). https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-to-climb-beyond-1300-with-expected-us-fed-rates-increaseOn March 3, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen announced at the Executives’ Club of Chicago that the Fed is likely to increase interest rates later this month. As a result, Bitcoin price is also likely to increase, as the value of reserve currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan falls.
When the Fed increases its rates, the value of the US dollar naturally increases. Even with a speculation or a forecast from the Federal Reserve, the value of the yen, yuan and the Korean won would fluctuate.
Yellen announced:
“We currently judge that it will be appropriate to gradually increase the federal funds rate if the economic data continue to come in about as we expect. Indeed at our meeting later this month, the committee will evaluate whether employment and inflation are continuing to evolve in line with our expectations. In which case, a further adjustment of the federal funds rate would likely be appropriate.”
Already the Fed announcement is starting to affect the value of the Japanese yen, a currency which has shown more resilience to the increasing Fed rates in comparison to other currencies.
The year-to-date (YTD) return of the Japanese yen against the USD is -2.5 percent and is likely to increase in the upcoming weeks as the Fed prepares to increase interest rates.

Seriously though why did we get this excessive selling? Nothing went wrong with bitcoin, just the ETF not coming for now. I understand a correction but this was massive. Anyway, don't be a bottom seller I guess because the price will increase again as it always does.

Just got home with 2 fresh paper wallets with a whole coin in each.
Missed the absolute bottom because it happened so fast but I still got in under $1050USD.
It didn't go as low as I anticipated in case of ETF rejection but it was definitely a buyable dip.
Hopefully I'll have some more fiat by Sunday in case it goes lower.
In the meantime, 2 more coins is 2 more coins. Fill that bag.
The moon can wait for today. There's lots of time for that.

People already got liquidated on margin so could very well be a good price. I applaud you Jimbo for buying. Best of luck to us holders. We always won. Of course it is hard to guess the exact bottom but there is obviously a good probability that we will have higher prices again within the next couple of weeks. To each their own strategy. We have had far worse things happening, like exchanges being hacked and many coins stolen. This ETF-thing is not such a bad event at all. I hate those fuckers at the SEC tho.

i guess, the reason we went down that fast and that much is because we had an army of traders ready and willing to either go all in or all out at a moment's notice. its rare we get this kind of action because it rare we all get 1 critical piece of info at the very same time.

True, that was a good moment for a trade on a lagging exchange.

Exactly. A lot of sheeple gambling that either a positive ETF decision would lead to an instant massive price rise, or a negative ETF decision would lead to an instant massive price drop. The reality is that bitcoin is the same now as it was this morning. Nothing has fundamentally changed. Except that all of the massive over-hyping in both directions can now be put aside, and the price can carry on with its steady rise unimpeded by the distraction of the ETF decision, as it has done for the past two years. Onwards and upwards....
