They're supporting their desire to seize power. And no one's actually running BU.

They may be hungry but they ain't stupid. They'd signal an implementation that did nothing but make a farting noise if it got them power.
I am going to hodl from now on guys. Cant predict this price anymore. BU is screwing my mathematical calculations all over today. Rip trading, it was fun while it lasted. Huge profits but also huge losts like today. Now i only have my good old cold storage. I will dump more fiat money in it and keep hodling. Rip easy trade days.  Roll Eyes
Yes for the haters: i got rekt today like you hodlers get rekt earlier this month. But i have to go trough all the stress and switching to shitty altcoins and fiat like some crazy idiot. And for what...

Well, well, well... That is interesting?
How did hodlers get rekt? By profiting less than they did?!
No, by obvious oppurtunities of increasing their coins.

If those opportunities of increasing their coins were so obvious why have you lost yours?
I tried to explain. 1 bad day ruins 3 months of succesfull trading gambling.

I've corrected it for you.

Join the hodlers club! It is a place of camaraderie and slowly built friendships.
You should tell us something nice about yourself. I'm an expert when it comes to hodling. Cool

Because you were following "pro" traders from tradingview, next time do your own  analysis
I just discovered that site 2 weeks ago. Therefore i did it all by myself.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Nice to see we're solidly back in triple digits... currently $1020 (Bitcoinaverage).

That's better than yesterday when we barely hit quadruple digits for a few moments.

That leaves just March 25 as the only day since Groundhog Day that we stayed under a grand.

"pro" traders from tradingview

LOL Isn't "pro trader" an oxymoron?

Trading is a suckers' game run by exchange showmen to fleece gullible rubes.

The operators have the advantage of Bitcoin's ever-rising price. Even if the marks manage to barely break even, they think they're winning.

I did manage to buy another quarter coin yesterday. That was the smallest purchase I've ever made, but every little bit helps.

I don't get it, how can you lose your full trading stash from a 10% eth/btc move ?
I put all my btc into ethereum on march 26, switched to btc because ethereum was going down and btc was going up. After i done that, btc was going down and ethereum was goin up. They are move divergential. So i switched to ethereum again. After that ethereum was going down, btc too, but ethereum faster. So i paniced and went full retart and switched to fiat after almost 1 month. So i was is fiat, btc dumped like expected BUT that stupid Ether was going up like i mentioned. They are moving divergential. A negative correlation. So my plan could have worked but i expected Ether to crash anytime soon because Bitcoin is amost bottomed-out. They were just driving me crazy and i lost controll. 2 rules of trading; stay calm and be pacient. I wasnt because i knew the altcoin party is almost over and btc dump was almost finished too. I was too greedy and inpacient. I bought 230 ether on february, and dumped them at the same price because nothing happened and bitcoin continued to go up. After i did that Ether increased with 400% so i lost that oppurtunity too because i dont have the pacience.

Its the best to stay away and stop with trading for ever for me. There is just that one moment when you finally lose your controll and pacience and start making stupid moves.
So i will build my cold stash (trying to increase it with 250%) with my fiat money.

Ahh, I see what your problem is: It's impossible to trade an asset if you know that it is essentially crap. You should try to find trading pairs, which you are comfortable to hold to, even at a temporary loss. This worked for me in the past with Blackcoin and Monero.

But monero has the same movement as Bitcoin, but its less profitable. I just need a safe or dead coin where i can put my money in incease btc goes down. I tried tether but tehter wallet sucks. You can put fiat money and btc in a tether wallet but you cant transform it to tether. But who cares, trading days are done.

So i will build my cold stash (trying to increase it with 250%) with my fiat money.

Just remember that holding also requires patience and control. It also requires sufficient resources that you don't have to sell during times of lower prices.

If you're barely getting by and see your holdings worth a fraction of what they were worth, it can be really hard not to sell, especially if you strongly feel the price will keep going down.

Those are the times you should be buying more, albeit incrementally keeping enough spare fiat on hand to buy if it dips further.

Accumulating fiat from your normal income during periods of flat or rising prices is a good policy. That way you're always prepared to buy the dip.

Just never sell.
_______

It does get easier with time.

In my case, it was excruciating watching the price fall from $266 to $50 after originally buying in at $68 and accumulating well over 100 coins at about $120 per coin.

Thankfully, I had enough sense and intestinal fortitude to hold tight, although I did sell 10 coins for $155 on the "dead" cat bounce by placing a high ask and having it met. I then placed a bid at $97 which was soon met. That was my last "trading". After losing 50 coins to MtGox I realized that all my coins should be offline.

By the time the price had crashed from over $1100 to under $200, it was much easier to take in stride. I went into accumulation mode and was adding coins by the dozen while the price was down.

The recent dive from $1700CAD to barely over $1000CAD at the height of the PBOC panic didn't phase me at all. Now we're back at $1370CAD. and I've managed to add several more coins.

It gets easier all the time. If you start to weaken, just remember the story of one pathetic troll who sold all his coins for $10 each and has been embittered ever since.  Cheesy

Almost out of the woods with BU? I hope so but people are still FUDDING the forum with stories about their hashrate & how many nodes they have. When will it finally come to an end so the price can start rocketing up again?

Bitcoin won't go down overnight without notice, you'll know it way before the doomsday by the price and the news and all other stuff, and all the other news. And things would not be much better with any other coin because they are all strongly related to Bitcoin.

But for me it is not much more likely than any end of world scenario

Trustlessness, decentralization and a strict cap on the number of total coins are the foundation upon which Bitcoin is built.

Exactly! Was going to start a business not a long time ago but when I found out how much should I invest in equipment, vehicles, salaries, premises rent etc and compared to the potential profit I asked myself why? My BTCs are earning more just by sitting in my cold wallet.  Roll Eyes

i have heard that Onecoin, Pepecash are very good alternatives. Lets face it: Onecoin did the most extraordinary thing that not a single cryptocurrency ever did: calling itself a bitcoin 2.0 without a blockchain Roll Eyes. They are so awesome that they dont need blockchain to call themself bitcoin 2.0 and Pepecash because evil Pepe will destroy everything.  Lesson : 100% in bitcoin or agree with second choice alternatives.
