Time to fulfill Afrikoin's prophecy. I'm already sold out and waiting for $750.
Not 100% on 750 but I'm in fiat unless it pops up convincingly through those walls. It's been a bit of a slow grind down so we'll see where it bottoms out. I hope Africoin is correct. You playing your whole investment on down? Wow!!!! If so, you sound like an irrational gambler. I keep most in cold storage but what I do have on exchanges I go pretty much all in or out depending on which way I think it's going. It might be a poor strategy for some but it's worked well for me so far.

It might be a poor strategy for some but it's worked well for me so far. Well, if you are used to engaging in that kind of strategy, then you likely have various ways to offset the risk. I just have a problem with that kind of strategy because there seems to be a lot of luck with such an approach because frequently there seems to be little to no way to know (unless you happen to be a really large whale) which way the price is going to go in the short to medium term (lets say 1day to 1 month term). I don't know how long you would be holding your position open in the event that the market moves opposite to your expectations, but it seems like quite a bit of a gamble. Sure maybe sometimes you would make really big if you predict correctly, but with that kind of strategy, you might wipe out a decent amount of your trading stash, too if you bet wrong. You are not saying anything about margin, but engaging in margin trading would merely amplify the results, whether positive or negative, but still would not seem to result in long term gains, unless you just happen to get lucky.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Woke up just in time to see we're making a serious attempt to finally conquer $1200... currently 1198USD (Bitcoinaverage). Let's get 'er done so we can keep moving upward. A little sideways is good for consolidation but after 3 days it gets boring. I'm already sold out and waiting for $750.
Lawl. And I thought waiting for $800 was irrational. Why not $200? You do realize that it only spent one day under $1000 in the past 2 months+ don't you? I'd jump on any buying opportunity under $1050, maybe even under $1100. Edit: $1200 done. Keep it coming.

I think that if we stay above $1200 for 24 hours or so, then it seems quite likely that we will be testing $1350-ish Edit: That was a nice pop. Next target $1350?
Edit: 2018 target 1 BTC= Dow Jones
I was too late about the $1350 test (great minds think alike, no? or we are all brainwashed)

Just 3 tries in less than half a week. You should go back to bed and wake up again in half an hour so we will 1250$ Too late for that. I've already got the coffee on. It might take a couple more days of consolidation before we hit $1250 though.

So... <10k, or 100k? I doubt it (DJIA) will be anywhere near 20k in 2018.

Bitcoin rises again as more alts crash. Further proof that 'The Great Altcoin Bait-n-Switch Pump of 2017' was a complete farce. Feel sorry for those n00bs that got taken, but at least they'll learn a hard lesson.

Has the ~1k BTC wall on Bitstamp been eaten or has it been withdrawn? Has anyone managed to catch that one? I had some work to do and missed the price breaking $1200. This trend seems extremely bullish even with North Korea aka. Jihan practically holding the network hostage.

There's nothing they can do about the real New World Order and they know it. True globalism isn't governments or other corporations. It's decentralized worldwide networks of peers, i.e. true democracy. A forward-thinking Torontonian named Marshall McLuhan wrote about the global village back in the 1960s, long before the internet. Now his prophecies are being fulfilled. The "information superhighway" has become more like a parking lot. The whole world is being paved over. Napster was just the thin edge of the wedge. With each succeeding attempt to shut down p2p file sharing, they just made it stronger and more decentralized. Their only line of attack against Bitcoin is the exchanges. In the days of Gox it was almost as easy as attacking Napster. Now multiple exchanges make them harder to attack. As more and more bitcoins are traded off-exchange by individuals, it gets harder and harder for them to interfere. Even more important than them losing control over money and entertainment (bread and circuses?) is that they're losing control over the dissemination of information itself. I suppose they could attempt to censor the peer-community-generated content of Wikipedia but another less centralized platform would soon arise. Meanwhile people around the world are communicating more every day. They can't stuff the cat back into the bag.

Feel sorry for those n00bs that got taken, but at least they'll learn a hard lesson. It was pretty difficult to not make fantastic returns on it to be fair. I trebled my BTC worth, now back down to double. Not complaining
