It is more simple than all theories here. Bitfinex clients are buying bitcoin. Bitfinex can't arbitrage and cover those from other exchanges because they have 180 million dollars blocked in banks. Chinese exchanges are exactly in opposite situation. That is why we see such large price differentials.

$1320 on Finex ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) I'm a bit speechless now, this will not end up well. No kidding. For the last eon Huobi has generally been the price leader and it's currently $1055 in yuan equivalent there and $983 USD spot in China. Literally a...$300 spread. To top it all off, you would think that with Bitfinex being in the process of Goxing they would tone down their fraud levels some at least for appearance sake, but nope, they've actually ratcheted the fraud levels upwards with Finex owners doing some big non-aggregate market pump while also freezing all deposits and withdrawals at the same time. It's literally an organized crime syndicate at this point.

The good thing, is that with all this FIAT blockage in FINEX and people running with their Bitcoins to other exchanges we will soon know if they have full reserves after the hack or if they don't.

Wasn't here for a moment and now I find Bitfinex $1300 The others ~$1230 Chinese exchanges $1060 What is going on?
There is no denying. We are in a weird place, and at some point, these are going to need to come a bit closer together, but it does not necessarily mean that a crash is coming first - even though signs seem to point to the necessity of some kind of "correction."

No exchange should have that much bitcoins on hot wallet to serve a "bitcoin bank run". As long as their cold wallet doesn't run empty, everything is fine.

That's the other thing I don't understand. Nobody in this thread seems to be worried at all about the complete collapse of interest/trading/price in China. If China fails to be market leader simply by turning off wash trading, and then falls significantly behind the west in price on top of that, it kinda indicates the entire price was just being propped up by fraud in the first place. They don't call the Chinese the Jews of Asia for nothing. They're one of the only groups on earth who can compete toe to toe vs the heebs in financial fraud.

But the low prices are only at Huobi? Because BTCC is $1242 now and OKcoin is at $1259. Do you know other chinese exchange platforms where bitcoin price is so low or is only at Huobi?

I am just holding. I dont need to sell or buy. I want the price to moon, but this is just an fake movement because of Bitfinex. We need healty growth that why I hope on some SegWit and 2 mb blocks soon.
2MB blocks won't help anything.

How do we know that's the only cold wallet Bitfinex have? Also, how do we know it isn't that most of the Bitcoins on deposit have already been withdrawn to other exchanges and thus the lowered price? When/If Bitfinex stops Bitcoin withdrawals we will know for sure.

Bitfinex can't withdraw FIAT whilst Chinesse exchanges can't withdraw BTC... Maybe they should merge before its too late. Love is in the air. I would have thought that kind of 'liquidity' problem was the kind of thing that the Liquid sidechain could have helped with. What happened to that?

That's always been a good idea ever since alts were created ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) during this period of unrest, I've held in bitcoin and I have never divested it into anything else and I've come out fine despite the shills shouting doom is near.

I see a lot of people here that sold out their bitcoins and now they panic. This is excellent indicator where we go. Moon!
Yes there are indeed some people who really thought we will see prices of 700-800 again after the ETF denial and due to HF threat. Well these guys were wrong and are now extremely desperate to get in again. The longer they are waiting to buy back in, probably the more expensive it will get for them.
