Easy to tell who are short. Cheesy

... and easier to tell who are over-invested.

Seriously, I don't get this 'with us, or against us' attitude. Only idiots drink the Kool-Aid.

*Disclaimer - I'm hedging at the moment. Sold my trading stash for a tidy profit, still have a roughly equal amount in cold storage. Not that I recommend anyone else do this. Do whatever you think is right, and take ownership of the decision.

I've often wondered about the paid shilling thing. It's naïve in the extreme to think it doesn't happen. This is no longer 2011 and there's serious money on the line. But I also believe there are enough fucking psychos out there doing it for free to fulfil some dark little itch.

I don't have a sodding clue what's going to happen. It feels a little like we've entered an alternate dimension where sense has tailed off into irrelevancy.

Nobody does, you're just man enough to admit it Cheesy

I have to declare myself a fan of this Jiang Zhuo’er miner/pool operator. This is a must read:

https://medium.com/@zhangsanbtc/if-bitmain-opposes-segwit-because-of-asicboost-why-did-they-agree-to-activate-segwit-before-a-257d832d8ef7

I am pro Segwit and against HF's, but after seeing what has been achieved by Litecoin with almost 100% support of the miners I have to say that a HF would not be so terrible if done with some similar consensus.

This guy is the first miner that makes some sense and gives some technical arguments that Jihan BU always avoid. If all miners were like this guy there would be a sentiment that CORE are the bad guys instead of the miners as is still happening.

I am still somewhat pro CORE. But I will keep paying attention to all this guy has to say in the near future and I hope he will keep that moderate position so that a consensus can finally solve current Bitcoin scaling issue.

I also hope JIhan BU does some step back and leaves PR on guys like Jiang Zhuo'er. Maybe there is also some guys that should step back (in PR) in CORE accordingly.

The HK agreement (Segwit now + 2MB some time after) is the way to go IF it is possible to reach a similar consensus as what has been achieved in Litecoin.

I have some hope. THis is bullish.

The price is past a March downtrend and some resistance in China which is more important. Previous peak would be a nice point for it to reach if then falling as it puts the bulls to bed and can make for a bigger fall. Surge past resistance is normal movement though and its done that so far

A fallback to 7500 CNY support to first confirm the move before continuing is more stable

But as has been repeated ad nauseam, it wasn't Core as any type of entity that signed that agreement, just some people involved with it.

Regardless, the willy waving is like trying to have lunch in an automated car wash made of willies.

I think by the end there must've been at least three different people using that account. It would contradict itself and use completely different wording in the space of about five minutes. My first ever ignore I believe.

Yes but it wasnt wavering really.
It was more like choosing between BTC and lots of mooning altcoins.
Its easy to trade some BTC for altcoins, thats why I had some doubt.
'
But never about trading BTC for fiat.

USD and EUR are some instamined manipulated shitcoins.

I also leaved altcoins because I like to focus on 1 crypto.
BTC is the best one by far so I am 100% BTC.

When you look at those numbers of those pump&dump altcoins its quite hard to resist.
But I am ok.

Short term yes.

But lets look at the 'serious' altcoins compared to BTC.

ETH mined 10% of its total supply rightnow, while BTC is on 77,6%.
ETC mined 30% of its total supply
ZEC mined 5.2% of its total supply
DASH& XRP sucks, instamined trash

Altcoins are trying to be a competitor of BTC, while BTC tries to be a competitor of banks, inflation, goverments, fiat money, gold, and I could go on.

BTC supply is so limited and people are not even realizing it.
I think that we wont see GBTC's on exchanges anymore in about 5 years from now.
1 GBTC would be a whale when we are in 2023.

Altoins are rising because Bitcoin allows it and because their marketcap is small.

I think you've missed the point. BTC = reserve currency of crypto, crypto money, etc. Alts = every other form of blockchain value. Plenty are worthless, or will be soon, but whenever a business launches a blockchain initiative that's not based on BTC... that's an 'alt'. And there are an increasing number as blockchain starts to push into the mainstream.
Maximalists who argue that BTC can and should do everything fail to see the reality that real-world companies missed that memo and that blockchain is being used for all kinds of applications.

BTC cant do anything but its worth so much more than the current marketdomminance shows us. Thats the point I am trying to make here. I like innovative altcoins like Stratis, Byteball, Lisk, Crbit and I could go on. But I think that BTC can go to mass adoption in the upcoming years. BTC didnt had a solid leg up since 2013. This is just a building up phase. I am waiting for it. We both know what will trigger this legg up (+$800)
