Some pumping on GDAX now. Price dropped about 1K Euro
Yeah - just noticed a bit of a retracement - lets see how deep it is and how quickly the price jumps back...

It hit 15k last night?

At what point would a whale not sell simply because there is not enough room to stick all the fiat somewhere? I joke about the Lambo thing, and how many you can fit in a driveway, but really doesn't the utility value of money just go out the window at some point?

Likewise if institutions are buying real bitcoin, what is to keep them from shorting the fuck out of it once options start trading?

Hm.

I'm sitting here looking at the massive differences in prices between all the exchanges and trying to work out what it means. Do the differences show which exchanges are easier to move fiat funds into and therefore the increasing demand is hitting those exchanges first?

Or does it just mean that the market is nuts and being maniumpulated around?

Any ideas for these massive spreads between exchanges?

EDIT: Back on-topic. We may soon be aiming for new ATH. Get the champagne ready if you aren‘t still drunk from the last bull run. At 15k I‘ll pop a bottle and drink a glass for everyone who wants to join in. Wish you all an enjoyable Christmas season.

Took only 5 days. Silly me thought I had time until next year. But no-one took me up on the offer so here's a toast to 15k USD per Bitcoin and congratulations to all the investors.

Is this a fake champagne or did you opened the bottle 3 days ago?

I think McAfee's predictions are far too high. $50,000.00 end of 2020 would be impressive alone. let alone a factor 10x or 20x higher.

Not if your consider the doubling each four months. If you double the price each four months, it will arrive at 500k by second half of 2019.

Haha, yes, it's not real champagne because I don't really drink alcohol. But there are bubbles in the drink.

I'll join you in a toast, I think I have a merlot in the fridge, will down a glass before work.

Cheers!

Paid for with Bitcoin money...so it's free? Still haven't figured it out.

P.S.: YESYES I thought about the bubble joke but it's so cheesy.

Well I bought my first ever coin for 120 then the price promptly crashed. Sad
Now it's 'worth' 100x that at 12k, but that's the steepest of discounts, because it's actually going to be worth 100x that at 1.2mil before long, and not one penny less. Tongue
Funny you'd say that, I was going to predict 1,199,999.99 USD.

I want to be around for the FUD of 66,666.66 USD. Smiley (ah, it's the devils work!)

They just love to trot out the Mike Tyson argument. Snobby fucks.
I don't know about that. What's the Mike Tyson argument?

Back when Mike Tyson was getting into Bitcoin, that signalled it was time to sell. Because let's face it, he ain't no Alfred Einstein. Same same. If strippers are getting in, must be time to sell. Because let's face it...

Whatever. This is why I purposefully avoid all MSM on the subject. Sour grapes and elitist muttering. I'm too old for it.
Ahh, I see, thanks. It's like Wall Street people saying it is a confirmed bubble when taxi drivers give out stock market advice.

When he's on a roll Mike Tyson is an exceedingly compelling orator. He may be a nutter and rapist, he definitely is not thick.

Except in this case, we actually *want* everyone adopting bitcoin and talking about it. We want every man, woman, and young adult around the world to buy and use bitcoin. Even Mike Tyson and the taxi drivers.
