I can HODL my coins dearly in my wallet, but I cant HODL the trembling hand of a n00b.

We need to spread the HODL cult to the masses. Thou shalt not buy fiat money.

Can you feel the lack of gravity? We are already in space, theres no floor anymore.

I will say turning on the radio last night in my bitcoin car and hearing the Bloomberg guy say "Hey buddy, wanna buy some bitcoin...." at the top of the hour almost made me drive off the road laughing....

But this is silly: CNN: Bitcoin boom may be a disaster for the environment. What will happen is more efficient miners will be built, or the halvening will slow down the mining rate. Difficulty will adjust down as needed and that will be that. A bigger problem though is transaction clearing time, I just moved a bit to buy some equipment before end of year (tax deductible and I need this stuff) and it still hasn't confirmed.

If this keeps up I may have to use Litecoin.

i am lost. what is going on, whee will it stop? will the red crater candle that is awaiting us punch a hole through everyones desk and floor?

15200 while I type.

btc took 8 years to get to $2000.

right now it takes hours to do the same.

does not compute.#

$15240

Some of us will be sorted for life soon financially, some already will be. I wish we could do a bit of sideways action now though for a month or so.

Glad that my repairs hold up pretty well, I remember that (one cube wasn't working right and I refunded you a percentage)

As for the inflation, I know.... When I look at how much I spent in bitcoin on consumables in January?Feb (cashing out some bitcoin to pay for the business and taxes as is my way) I realize those chips, solder, wick, flux, repair parts, and postage could probably buy a small used car now.

That's nuts....

Ah well. I've tried to peg repairs to a percentage of the Ebay sale price for the particular device (if it's broken and worth 0, I fix it to be worth Ebay price, then the repair cost is a percentage of that. Everyone profits) but it's getting tough to re-compute all the time...

It's not bad.... Just nuts-o-weird...

look at it this way...if BTC dumps to 7k it is still 7x more than it was Jan 2017......(easy for me to say) but still, it is gonna staircase up not just rocket straight to say 15k...

er, wait.it went from 12k to 15k in 31 hours

nevermind..

...I too am now freaked out!

(must also take a walk...p*ss on a tree...commune with nature ..to lessen befuddlement and stress!)

I'm retired at the end of the month at 62. I can do so w/o the use of any crypto. But damn, when BTC hit 10k and looked at my BTC and crypto  as a 'backstop'

not to be used...but a safety net ...none the less...I cracked and pulled the plug on the job.....

all my reasons went away. House is paid. No debt. etc. Can live the lovely lifestyle I am accustomed too from Edward Jones and still mining some....(I'm damn boring)

Not sure wtf I'm gonna do.

Putter around the house.

Obviously, putting all my $$$ and efforts into crypto and BTC, I'm not much into stuff outside of ASIC miners....hmmmmm.....but the trigger is pulled...

I have heard a rumor if you tell the local exotic dancers that you have a lot of BTC to toss about you suddenly get very attractive...go figure...

Imagine how the truly wealthy elite like Warren Buffett feel, when a 1+% swing in the stock market means he just made $40M (I just made this number up, but you get the point).

Or even guys like Tim Draper or the WinkleVoss twins. 2-3% swings in Bitcoin are millions to them.

Unfortunately my bitcoin holdings are vely vely tiny but if I were the Winklevoss with (how many?) 100k coins I'd start selling now and keep 20% or so. The price is going into the absurd and it's not sustainable. How many billions do you need to live? 1 should be enough, no? You can't really eat money. Or is that just my middle class programming speaking?

A bigger problem though is transaction clearing time, I just moved a bit to buy some equipment before end of year (tax deductible and I need this stuff) and it still hasn't confirmed.

If this keeps up I may have to use Litecoin.

Mempool is growing bigtime. Make sure to include a good fee for quick confirmation.

Is this run still being fueled by South Korea...or more widespread....(If I was next to North Korea...I'd have the van set, the family packed, btc on the trezor to hit the road

on moments notice straight south out of Seoul..so I guess a run on BTC makes a bit of sense for them...

I have 2 fairly large transactions totally stuck - even though I put them through as 'fast' by believing my BTC Core wallet's advice.

Nothing confirmed for hours - what fees actually WORK right now - anyone recommend a site to suggest accurate fee requirements?

Feeling very stupid...
