NASA logo barf bag ready
The reason you might want a barf bag is that In-Q-Tel was the one buying up all the coins when they were $1, so purchasing bitcoin higher is essentially contributing money to the CIA. If you think I'm kidding, no. The only question is how many coins they control which were bought at next to nothing. evidence or fuck off This is not new information. ...roach, i've been on this forum since 2011 just after the crash from 30 bucks. iam not familiar with this information. therefore, could you please provide informational links so i may educate myself? Someone has probably already posted wallets to watch on this forum to track the coins (unless it was deleted for some reason or they were mixed already). I'm not making it up. I'm sure people like Theymos know about it already too. The speculation section has always been void of information for a long time, but I thought most people who have been in bitcoin for several years already knew about it. well we know that the CIA had their eyes on BTC really early on - they invited GA for an interview in june 2011...

Bitfinex is buggy as fuck. I have had buy orders partially filled well below the then current trading price only to have the trade reversed 30 minutes later. I just shrugged and rebought at the higher price.

IDK about In-Q-Tel buying it all up, but I do know the various three letter agencies were mining BTC (and I would assume the various other CCs as well) in the beginning. To the effect of multiple wallets with thousands of coins each.

Yeah same here, also had withdrawal "processing" for over 12 hours. I love the exchange for its layout and ease of use but as it is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) with the current price of BTC and ALTS I guess they are having a lot of action + possible bankster DDOS attacks as well etc

What the fuck is wrong with you people that you are still sending money to the exchange that outright stole a third of the funds people had there? You deserve to be poor.

I wish I'd been there and involved with it, but I wasn't unfortunately. I guarantee I'd have way more coins than what I do now More along the lines of someone drinking too much and talking about things they probably shouldn't have

I trade there because their order book is broken... Don’t worry, the vast majority of my portfolio is in cold storage so deep it may as well be at the bottom of Lake Huron.

You probably don’t want to calculate what 30 days of 20% growth would do to the Bitcoin price because it will make you vomit.
You probably don't want to calculate what 30 days of 20% shrinkage would do. "But I was in the pool". Fortunately, the probability of either happening is infinitesimal.

If you must know I had to sell my stash of 7 bitcoins back in 2016 due to financial circumstances. So I am poor now which is why I am using Bitfinex as well as a couple of other exchanges to trade alt-coins in order to get back to my 7 bitcoins with a view of making it to at least 10. Not everyone who got bitcoins back in 2014 like me was able to hold them all due to money issues. But I am glad you have enough bitcoins that you dont need to trade, that is also my ultimate goal but in the meantime I find it very difficult trading using my notepad or paper wallets Anyway if you feel I deserve to be poor then please ignore If you want to help then you know what to do - 1PRjBfDaPiTRdTrbWyxPSrcSCZJ98McxGF

A bigger problem though is transaction clearing time, I just moved a bit to buy some equipment before end of year (tax deductible and I need this stuff) and it still hasn't confirmed.
If this keeps up I may have to use Litecoin.
Mempool is growing bigtime. Make sure to include a good fee for quick confirmation. https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24hI have 2 fairly large transactions totally stuck - even though I put them through as 'fast' by believing my BTC Core wallet's advice. Nothing confirmed for hours - what fees actually WORK right now - anyone recommend a site to suggest accurate fee requirements? Feeling very stupid... Not the same, but fees, man! I tried to use embeded shapeshift in coinomi to dump some BCH yesterday. Fees >$150. wtf. Tried the embeded changelly. >$80. So I still have the BCH... Probably send it to polo eventually.

Russia legalizing bitcoin is probably helping the price. https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-will-be-legal-in-russia-mining-to-be-regulatedBitcoin will be legal in Russia
As the state works on legislation, Moiseev stressed that buying and selling Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies would be legalized. Just how long it will take for this new legislation to take effect is a matter of time, but it could be a few months at the least.
This is quite an about turn for the country, as president Vladimir Putin had all but condemned Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in October.
