A bigger problem though is transaction clearing time, I just moved a bit to buy some equipment before end of year (tax deductible and I need this stuff) and it still hasn't confirmed.
If this keeps up I may have to use Litecoin.
Mempool is growing bigtime. Make sure to include a good fee for quick confirmation. https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24hI have 2 fairly large transactions totally stuck - even though I put them through as 'fast' by believing my BTC Core wallet's advice. Nothing confirmed for hours - what fees actually WORK right now - anyone recommend a site to suggest accurate fee requirements? Feeling very stupid... Not the same, but fees, man! I tried to use embeded shapeshift in coinomi to dump some BCH yesterday. Fees >$150. wtf. Tried the embeded changelly. >$80. So I still have the BCH... Probably send it to polo eventually. Just send to an exchange, works fine - I just did it with BTC Gold, simple and not too pricey to do...

What could a potential correction bring us to? I think most of us agree that we're due for one but for those of us that have been here long enough, bitcoin "crashing to 10k" would sound like a pipe dream a couple years ago.
Looking at the weekly chart and comparing it to 2013 it looks like the top could be around $42,000 and the support will ladder down - from some levels not yet established, then $7,700, $4,400 and maybe even $2,500 The top will be hard to call but keep an eye on the coins available on Bitstamp. When it drops below 1,300 the top is not far away. Currently at 2,586 coins - so it's a long way to go.

NASA logo barf bag ready
The reason you might want a barf bag is that In-Q-Tel was the one buying up all the coins when they were $1, so purchasing bitcoin higher is essentially contributing money to the CIA. If you think I'm kidding, no. The only question is how many coins they control which were bought at next to nothing. evidence or fuck off This is not new information. IDK about In-Q-Tel buying it all up, but I do know the various three letter agencies were mining BTC (and I would assume the various other CCs as well) in the beginning. To the effect of multiple wallets with thousands of coins each. For me its good to see Roach posting here. HIs opinion is one of few I enjoy, especially compared to the kind of drivel from the dancing queen. This is a possibility I don't like and haven't discounted. We all know 'Satoshi' mined a shit load in the beginning. We also don't know who Satoshi is. Things that make you go hmmm. For Roach I wonder why he doesn't profit from bitcoin anyway despite his insight? Should only the CIA profit? Or the CiA and free thinking liberty minded individuals too?

Almost got a bittrex account a few months ago, but the user agreement scared me away.

What the fuck is wrong with you people that you are still sending money to the exchange that outright stole a third of the funds people had there? You deserve to be poor.
If you must know I had to sell my stash of 7 bitcoins back in 2016 due to financial circumstances. So I am poor now which is why I am using Bitfinex as well as a couple of other exchanges to trade alt-coins in order to get back to my 7 bitcoins with a view of making it to at least 10. Not everyone who got bitcoins back in 2014 like me was able to hold them all due to money issues. But I am glad you have enough bitcoins that you dont need to trade, that is also my ultimate goal but in the meantime I find it very difficult trading using my notepad or paper wallets Anyway if you feel I deserve to be poor then please ignore If you want to help then you know what to do - 1PRjBfDaPiTRdTrbWyxPSrcSCZJ98McxGF Good luck on your quest. If more than 21 million people want only 1 bitcoin each then you know what direction the price has to go. I also like to trade and increase my stack. I think the point was though, why use that particular exchange rather one thats less shady? Well I have used 4 exchanges so far. Poloniex, Bittrex, Kraken, Bitfinex I'd say of those four Bitfinex has by far the most superior chart layout/order options/useability. I have only started trading for about 4 months or so.and therefor Im new to this (but not to Bitcoin). Bittrex is good as there is a wide array of alts but for me not good for day trading. Poloniex well I think is a poor version of Bitfinex Kraken is Kraken, I stopped using that after 2 weeks But if you have any suggestions on other alternatives I am all ears. So far I have managed to put together about 0.15 BTC worth of BTC and alts but I did start off with almost no capitol and have been out of work and this have also been living off trades too.

Yeah - I sent the BTG from Coinomi to Bittrex and even with passport etc, I could still only take out up to 0.4 BTC a day. Yuk! Polo isn't so bad, but getting to a decent withdrawal level takes ages - glad I did it ages back. Basic was $2,500 a day. Next level is $25k, which I suddenly realised today is not enough for a couple of BTC of course - it's easy to forget how much a bunch of Monero, let alone a couple of BTC has changed in value so fast.

I'm wandering...who's going to buy bitcoin at a million and thinks it's a good price?
I'm for it being used not just for selling when it gets to a mill
$10k ... $15k ... $20k ... are good prices and reasonable for common people. They can buy 0.1 - 0.2 izi in 'Murica. But it seems to be some kind of agenda. That they should not have almost any. When it will be worth 1 million, mostly it will be because of supply / demand debacle and exchanges that are based on the blockchain. So you will be able to trade blockchain on the blockchain.

Well look who the cat dragged in. Greetings.
We've missed you and Buddy. Buddy must look a lot different with today's prices.
I guess I should head over there more often and see how you, Buddy an Adam are doing. My bad.
Hopefully we're all a lot richer. Cheers.
Unfortunately, the wall observer thread over there never really caught on well and has pretty much stalled out since August. I'm considering other Chartbuddy options to keep him going but he's there more as a placeholder these days. I did try it, but Chartbuddy was all I could see most of the time. Good to see you here again Richy. It's pretty much as anarchic as ever.

They definitely aren't. I'm seeing so many morons on my facebook feed who are now posting status updates about bitcoin and how "It's projected to go to $xxxxx by 2020". These people are buying into the hype and the massive gains we're seeing right now and they get elated, dump money in and think it will forever multiply every month. These people don't know much of anything about bitcoin/finance and when/if a correction comes they're going to panic sell and be angry that crypto fucked their savings up. Ultimately I'm bullish but these prices have me losing sleep because if I were to cash out I could buy a nice Ferrari. It's nice to think about but I think I'd rather go down with the rocket than miss out on it getting to the moon. However I will get a sick evil pleasure out of seeing these uninformed noobs panicking and getting rekt in the correction.
