At the beginning of 2017, I was guessing that we'd end the year somewhere between $1600-1800/btc.

Only missed it by a factor of 10.  Tongue

Of course in hindsight, all the bullshit, shake outs, fake outs, upgrade blockades, flippenings, etc. now all make perfect sense.

They knew that far in advance.

wow, it's been ages since I've seen Buddy.

Here are a couple of classics... 2 consecutive 1 hour MtGox Chartbuddies from the day the Silk Road got busted, an hour of market panic and an hour of immediate recovery... from over $130 all the way down to $110 and right back up again all in less than 2 hours.

This was a defining moment in Bitcoin's history... when it was proven once and for all that Bitcoin was more than just "criminal drug money".

It also served as the starting point for the 4th great Bitcoin bubble, the one that Willybot took to $1.1k in late 2013.

It's a slaughterhouse in the Altcoins markets. Sea of red ink, down 20-40% daily in regard to BTC. The extent of this actually was never seen before, and a lot of week hands holding alts were shaken. Poor old altcoin traders.

Bitcoin is fine. Fiat is the problem.

I am sure you'll be most welcome by more than a few here.  Big Blockers get a hard time, yep - it's pretty much heavily pro-Core of course, but it's still fun and all and sundry drop in and pretty much all points of view exist, as they probably should - although the ignore button is still an occasionally welcome option Wink

I have no problem with any of that. Small blocks, big blocks, it's a conversation to be had and I'll go toe-to-toe with anyone about my opinions. I just don't like what happened to that conversation and feel that visiting this site, unfortunately, supports the perpetrator(s).

Just looked in and see you replaced Coinbase with Gdax.

Hope you don't mind me quoting you:

Sure thing. I think gdax was before the move (maybe?). I suddenly stopped being able to get data from Coinbase so I switched over. I thought they had just renamed it or split it off but I've heard things since that I'm not so sure anymore.

Here we go again... another correction, this one about 2/3 of a grand.

How long this time until our next ATH?

yeah.. the 32K !!

and NotLambChop posting Coyote gifs hitting a rock with a $400 price tag.

Classics...  Grin

I was just thinking of that yesterday. Also, that one with the soaring emoticon shooting through all the price lines needs to be updated.

I can't quite figure this out, but it looks like arbitrage between China and Korea is legally frowned upon.

Where is Adam? the original thread opener..

I remember the frenzy when we got to 10.000 pages for this thread, and we wanted the same for the price in usd

Tell him we are about to make it!!! Maybe tomorrow at this pace.

Adam's mantra was always '32K guaranteed' it doesn't seem that crazy now....

His "32k guaranteed" quote was a parody of my $3200 post-halving price call.  It wasn't an actual prediction.
