Feathercoin (FTC) is the playground of a few big whales (on btc-e), doing pump and dump schemes.like when 3 million FTC suddenly appeared on the books on the ask side, then removed and 3000 btc in bids props up. Lately those 3k btc has been eaten and is on a continuing downward slope, and there is a lot of FTC bag holders out there..I've lost a couple trying to ride with those whales with no success. Its unpredictable. At least on BTC there is some 'logic' in trading. My advice: stay out of it.

I was a bagholder once, until I hit my stop-loss at .004...

I add my 2 cBtc, objectively: In the past I held also a protfolio of different alts (PPC, TRC, LTC, NMC, FTC, DVC). Only NMC (Namecoin) had good stability and keep rather well its value (all tanked realy hard).

I to be complete I'd like to add that NVC seems to be as good as NMC. I still don't figure why, but it's seems that it's a bit shady and btc-e is behind.

Disclosure: I'm 100% bitcoin now, sold every other alt.

Anyone seen already that China's biggest search engine Baidu just started to accept BTC payments?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=310962

Might be another good reason for the recent rally -- and for more rallies in the future Smiley

Yes, this is interesting.

I know they're a search engine but do they sell anything other than advertising ?

It looks like its a Cloudflare anti-ddos like service owned by baidu that is accepting the BTC payments.

This

They're not accepting it for anything else yet, but to have a company of this size essentially endorse Bitcoin seems to me to be a big deal.
