Much better to reply with a better answer that you have had time to reflect on, than a rushed one.

Schumer wants to know how the Feds can get the rest of the bitcoin community to follow bitpays standards.

Agreed. The focus of this is on the senators, not the audience. The senators are going to be the ones drafting the legislation.

last question answer should have been that dollars can't magically refuse to change hands -- and forcing this to occur at the monetary level creates tons of issues for legit users as you can see (for example) by all the "paypal sux" stories.  So best thing is to manage it at the business level

Man, he should have been prepared for that question. If you know BTC you have thought about that. You know that cash is very much harder to follow/track than BTC, you can reply that you can just apply the same rules you use for cash which is what the FinCen lady (or the indian lady that came yesterday) would have answered to that.

I thought Gallippi's answer was sufficient.
Of course if these senators were in attendance on day one they would have had fewer concerns about crime in general as they would have heard the excellent answers from the panellists that were in charge of speaking for their respective law enforcement agencies.

Raman for example who stood out for many positive reasons.
