I think we have a trend reversal.
so, no bear traps anymore, only bull traps.
Nope, bear trap. May sit here for a week though first. I'm just amused by people freaking out about the "bear market". Has anyone taken a gander at the 1-year chart? Sometimes I wonder. Live through a bear market and you'll know what it means, Ironically while having lost half my original investment, I had the highest amount of coin ever. Sadly I don't have the conviction to hold, I'm a trader, I got the buy/sell bug and MtGox loves me for transaction fees

Well, consider that some charts are based on objective facts (reality), which are completely unreliable for predicting the movements of this market.

I agree, the problem now is fiat transfers to exchanges and whether the exchanges can cope: BTCe has a dubious record; Gox is a nightmare all round; Stamp has failed this week; no volume on Coinmkt. The list goes on - its the fiat interface that hampers crypto adoption.
Indeed. I'm trying to get money into bitcoin RIGHT NOW, and I just can't do it. And that's with me having a verified account at Gox and Coinbase. No coins, or 7-10 day international wire transfer? Hmmm. Well this blows. I will sell a few btc if you can wire me in the usa. Im not selling discounted but you can get them fast. fast coins better than cheap coins...amirite?

Hmmm. Well this blows. this can't be true... oh your saying the 7 day wait is too much for you? then you don't really want to put more money in.... What are other people doing? Am I missing an obvious option? Yeah 7 days a little discomforting for a couple reasons. I think bitcoin could shoot up in that timeframe, and then I'd rather have the dollars for the interim.... which would be trapped in Gox. Secondly, Coinbase is supposed to restock in less time than that, and I know I can get a better price there.... just no guarantee that I can get in line fast enough to get any coins.

Come on bears and panic sellers.. and the ocassional profiteer... only a 10% drop in price today, you can do better than that! Come on let those coins roll, gotta diversify the population some more!
What in the hell are you talking about!? I woke up to an alarm that had us at $520, we went back to 750, and now we're heading south again. You crazytown on the crack smoke much?

this always happens, poeple get crazy excited and buy buy buy
but its all good, they're really good news behind us, money will come flowing in like never b4.
we are looking to forum a cup and handle, while we wait for the money flow.
Probably a stupid question but i've heard the phrase 'cup and handle' here a few times before... What exactly am I looking for? Just to be clear, this is not at all what is happening. We had a much milder bubble this time, moderated by understandable skepticism with the last one so fresh in our minds. It popped, driving Gox briefly below 600, and we're going to oscillate a bit more before stabilizing for the very short term somewhere in the 600-700 range. Then over the next 2-3 weeks we'll likely lose another $100 as the impatient pull their money, and then we wait for the next hype cycle. It will be soon; the cycles are accelerating. I'd give it 3 months. The bubble will be even more controlled next time. im not sure, all this stuff just now hit the media, and no one can get money into buying btc yet. i think we might go higher. this run up was only cuz of people already into btc. I agree, the problem now is fiat transfers to exchanges and whether the exchanges can cope: BTCe has a dubious record; Gox is a nightmare all round; Stamp has failed this week; no volume on Coinmkt. Isn't there any way to get money into CampBX without a 90 day wait? They've had really low prices throughout the run up.
