Gox volume is 100% real. China is not.

A 10k sell is nothing to scoff at.

That and the 1500 wall @ 535... People understand the network is still young. This will DEFINITELY deter new money, which lets face it, is why BTC increase in value in the first place...

yeah btc-e has been following gox in lock step pretty much, except for the "security issue" where price dropped like a hundred bucks and the other exchanges barely moved.....

Make sure to have Tor installed though.  

Why would you recommend TOR...it works fine via normal ISP for me.

all bitcoiners should run tor nodes...my opinion

Because it worked fine for me too, then they locked me out for no discernable reason. Too many F5s?

fair enough, although their volume isn't crazy high at the moment the price is relatively stable. Maybe they aren't so interested in Gox's issues? Needless to say, having more exchanges is helping A LOT.

Maybe it's crazy- but maybe the 21million coin limit is actually a problem for the price on exchanges, as long as we are thinking in terms of full coins. Maybe if people keep thinking in whole BTC there aren't enough coins for enough exchanges to have enough liquidity? I know it sounds stupid, but the more I think about it, and I think about so many empty exchanges, I start to wonder. You can't have people dumping 10K in more then one exchange at a time really. Or perhaps this will be less of an issue as time goes on....

It will fix itself. Those coins are now in several hands and if the price goes up, it will become harder for an individual to accumulate so many.

Yeah, I think it takes a bit of time for the accounts to verify because of all the security measures they have in place I experienced a few initial hiccups there but fortunately it was a reasonably quiet time.

Who cares about a 10k sell?   One less person with 10k to sell in the future . . .   And that 1.5k wall, you think that is anything?   Did you see the previous 1.5k get munched just after the big sell?   Took less than 5 minutes.   I suppose Stamp having 3 mil more in bids than a few days ago is new money running away . . .   Have you seen how many people in just this forum are screaming about not being able to get money in fast enough?   If I had the coins, I would manipulate this as much as I could too, this is a last stop at these price levels.
