I agree this price cannot be sustained. No level headed investor is going to buy in at the top of a huge rally like this. Investing 101 says buy low and sell high, and most investors realize this. They are not going to continue to dump money into it on a huge upswing like this. It has gone up way too high & too fast to be sustained.
I would be very surprised not to see a flash crash down to the $300-$400 range this week. I expect this to happen any moment now. You can already see the market adjusting, but I doubt it will stop at $560. Even at $560 it's gone up too high & too fast to be sustained. Sorry bulls, but Bitcoin is not ready to be steady at >$550 just yet. This is just the middle of yet another bubble... this is not the first and it will not be the last.
/speculation
This is price DISCOVERY: it started at $0.1 and went to $2. This is huge upswing of 200x, you don't consider that unsustainable? then from $2 to $32 then to $266 now to $900 See the pattern, This is adoption rate, as more people join in, the higher the price. With the press and govt. meeting and legitimizing bitcoin, I Will sell at $3,000 early next year. Just like $900 seemed 'out-of-your-mind' few weeks back

Ready to go lower anyone? Charts look like the trend is somehow in the other direction as yesterday/week. ZOMG, glad my bitcoinreminder woke me up. Hope the west coasters are awake somehow. edit: Not that anyone should care, but my charts say this (595) is just the dead cat bounce... yuck, guts. Get new charts, and a sextent. And a first mate.

I very well could be wrong, it is just my opinion of what will happen. Only time will tell though, you bulls could very well be right.

It is sad, that bitcoin users might destroy bitcoins with this bullshit. If you want to have a worldwide currency, that is actually USED, you will need better infrastructure than a C64. Decentralised doesn't mean you can use your gameboy. 1 mb is definitely to small. Look at the visa transactions. And we will need a change soon. Or the dream will be over faster than you think. I don't quite get the argument either. -) How would increasing the blocksize to, say, 2mb, force the Blockchain into datacenters? Storage space for running a full node is of the least concern. -) Offchain transactions need centralized entities, the very opposite of keeping Bitcoin decentralized. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but the only potential problem I see with larger blocksizes is possible delays in block propagation. Not sure how much this would be an issue though. I'm willing to learn if I missed something tough.
