I don't get it. Why are stamp and gox pulling in opposite directions?
Gox is being manipulated by Karpeles. He's probably right now in the back of a limousine eating sushi getting sucked off by a bunch of Japenese schoolgirls whilst creating all these fake buy orders bumping up the price. Being the lone bear suck uh? I find it funny you're taking me seriously. More than likely a lot people had a lot of fiat on the sidelines @ Gox, especially since they can't withdraw. They probably thought they might as well make some money. All the bears came out during this rally.

What will you be celebrating exactly? That you can say 'I told you' to your friends? That you can retire? That the market didn't crash after all? That bitcoin will be widely accepted? Honest question
this forum is hard work sometimes, isn´t it? it eats away substantial chunks of your time and to some it even seems to become a full blown way of live of its own. it was in one of those innumerable nights with hours spent in this unique forum, arguing/considering/exploring/sharing/fighting with you about this abstract gamechanger called bitcoin, when it dawned on me that you guys are just great. this forum is special. i thought i need to meet you guys - in real life - not behind a screen. the first idea was a party. no agenda, just meet & celebrate. what could be a good reason to announce such a community event? bitcoin was at 140, not moving forever. yeah, if it should ever reach $1000 we should celebrate this milestone! it seemed a reasonable choice. the point is to move away from the keyboards and add a little reality to this magic joyride we are experiencing. let´s meet in reality, face to face. bitcoin is abstract as hell, it will help us believing this madness when we see tons of other folks with the same vision/experience/ in real life. i´d say those are good reasons to celebrate. hope to see you all at the party! https://btc1k.com/

My guess is that it will probably held into the "strong" hands of few mining pool operators in the near future. Aside of this; who would be able to afford mining gear decent enough to produce BTCs within a year from now?

You can always buy some but i think the price will recover even faster in the future after big sells because people want it. So, no cheap coins. The distance is getting smaller. Few weeks ago 300 was cheap. Now 1000 are cheap and so on. I hope atleast.
