This thread was weird but , ....common!

I told my wife there are at least 2 girls on the forum and she laughed, but you have to admit there aren't many girls in to Bitcoin, this upcoming $1000 party is going to be a sausage fest.

fee free gox trading = tons of fun. so far the market seems pretty tame.  Loving it!

Seems Gox is trying to redeem itself from all the recent hate... ALl it took was for them to completely bleed marketshare..

Get your freaking banking sorted out gox, you'd think after the senate hearing they'd have better leverage over their banks.

An 80 BTC or so ask seems to keep popping up just below 1000 on bitstamp. It gets bought up, a minute later there's another. Stealth wall?

Probably a bot slowly selling off without trying to scare the market.

I'm wondering if it's the same player who bought the 900+ BTC on the way to breaking 1000 USD on stamp. Pave the way past a resistance, sell what you can over 1000, sell the rest to cover whatever you didn't manage to sell yet. If this is the case we shouldn't see much more than 900 sold this way. Otherwise, who knows.

true. My girlfriend was suggesting that there needs to be a special dating service for the btc forum addicts. I hoped that wasn't a threat!

This sounds like a trading strategy that can be used in late stages of a rally to keep the downside risk to a minimum, while still grabbing some juicy profits. If enough people do this at the same time it would definitely amplify the drop as the short-timeframers all want out at the slightest distortion of that cycle.

There will be far more woman on here than you think. Most won't admit it though and for good reason.

What will you be celebrating exactly? That you can say 'I told you' to your  friends? That you can retire? That the market didn't crash after all? That bitcoin will be widely accepted? Honest question

this forum is hard work sometimes, isn´t it? it eats away substantial chunks of your time and to some it even seems to become a full blown way of live of its own.
it was in one of those innumerable nights with hours spent in this unique forum, arguing/considering/exploring/sharing/fighting with you about this abstract gamechanger called bitcoin, when it dawned on me that you guys are just great. this forum is special. i thought i need to meet you guys - in real life - not behind a screen. the first idea was a party. no agenda, just meet & celebrate. what could be a good reason to announce such a community event? bitcoin was at 140, not moving forever. yeah, if it should ever reach $1000 we should celebrate this milestone! it seemed a reasonable choice.

the point is to move away from the keyboards and add a little reality to this magic joyride we are experiencing. let´s meet in reality, face to face. bitcoin is abstract as hell, it will help us believing this madness when we see tons of other folks with the same vision/experience/ in real life.

i´d say those are good reasons to celebrate.

hope to see you all at the party!

hope this doesn´t count as spamming  Wink

no need to conceal, really. I know of two at least who are not hiding.

Though it's surely quite a bore putting up with the more juvenile chauvinism humour of naive geek-boys I'm sure. I can't complain as I was once guilty of such silliness.

Note that I absolutely love the double bottom posts   Wink

Wow, this company is based in the city just over from mine. They even have a hashtag for escorts in my city.

Needless to say, I don't intend to use their services. ($10,500 for one night with one of their "elite" ladies? Bargain!)
