do you really have to verify to get your coins off gox now?

It happened to me back in March 2013. Not for everyone, but for me. I didn't exhibit high volume trading or anything, though. I suspect some sort of AML/KYC regulation got trigger by some bhaviour of mine.

Wow, my first sell order went through at CAVirtex (from like 10-20 minutes ago?), let's see if that second one will fill.

On the positive side, this has to finally be the effective end of Gox as market leader. Who wouldn't pull out of there after this?

oh I don't know, the same folks that didn't pull out after the LAST 4 or 5 times this happened?

Exactly my thoughts.

I pulled out in may, btw, after I finally got verified and was able to withdraw my coins (had to verify for some unknown reason).

You had to verify to get your coins out? WTF?

Yes. WTF!
Is that everyone? I have not been verified on there. I better be able to get my coins off.

I'm sorry if this is spreading panic here. It shouldn't, DON'T PANIC:

  • it happened only to a select few
  • it was back in march or something 2013

they didn't tell me the reason.

I had to verify after accessing Mt.Gox via TOR.
I never did it in the end and just left my money to sit and somehow the restriction was lifted.

Gox says: "All withdrawals and deposits require account verification." My lord, this is ridiculous. I would never have sent my coins there if I knew that. So I got to send them valid IDs and all sorts of shit before I can get my coins out.

So they took the site down for 15 minutes and it comes back up still looping? I wish I could trade on these predictable swings :-)

my first once went thru with gox.. and the second is still pending. I am hoping to cancel it as I'd rather not have to benefit from gox hitting a floor of 600 while we can see it.

Also I got buys set up at 700.. and 70 dollars till then : D panic may be our friends today our worst enemy
