Media scared noobs with headlines like this: http://www.rtlnieuws.nl/economie/home/waarde-bitcoin-daalt-na-verbod-china "bitcoin loses value after China ban". Lot's of noobs bought BTC last weeks and they are now panicking. If you know how many phone calls I received this week with questions like: "What is a wallet? ", "I don't have a computer, can i buy bitcoins?". Good news for the big boys however who are still waiting on the sideline picking a good entry point.

down from a previous ath. this is just a correction and probably wouldn't even have happened if it wasn't for china.

What was the price two weeks ago? 850 is cheap coins despite all the 'bad' news

The day is still young, foolish bull.

In this case, I agree. I've put 25% of my BTC in FIAT and placed my bids accordingly, and I'm in the "buy and hold" camp. It looks (I might be wrong) like a surefire opportunity for profit. This will not be an optimistic weekend.

Guys, just a question, I haven't been following the news...

Was there a second bad news item from China or are we still talking about the one about 45 hours ago?

Yes because your 3 friends are going to take us to the next ATH and compensate for China's game changing stance on Bitcoin. Please do help them to get their wallets up and running ASAP.

Not to stir up the China news again, but for those who attempted to flip off the news as bullish, I fear that may have been a bit optimistic.

From yomofo's post on reddit/bitcoin

China Telecom page from last week. (note the btc logo) http://bitcoinexaminer.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/sdgfgh.jpg

China Telecom page from today. (note the btc logo is now gone) http://js.189.cn/w2014

And also Baidu are no longer accepting bitcoin by the looks of it, whom where arguably the start of this Chinese rally.

Although the government statement did not specifically ban companys from utilizing bitcoin, the Chinese people and company CEO's have become very adept at reading between the lines of what their government say.

Still bullish?

http://jiasule.baidu.com/news/52a18454bf9efd290bfdcc69/

Dear acceleration music users:

Due to the recent fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin larger unable to protect the interests of users, in response to the risk of state-controlled bitcoin spirit Baidu music accelerate decision to suspend with immediate effect from accepting bitcoin buy accelerate music services.

Baidu acceleration music

Ignore the music part, thats bad translation

Ok, I think we're bottoming (head and sholders bottom or something).

Soon those who are still waiting for even lower prices will realize they wont happen. It's over. They'll jump back in and in no time we'll be posting pics of trains Wink

Gox leaking market share every day. The last days of an era.

bitstamp     31.010%   45152.250   0.850 USD
mtgox*   30.000%   43688.600   0.871 USD
btce           29.750%   43320.360   0.880 USD
Seems that data is lagging too. Mtgox is less than halve of BTC-e bitcoin volume plus over 1 million litecoins as well
