As much fun as this is to watch, I would caution against chest thumping until we manage to hold the gains

Reality will slap people in the face soon and we are back to the 500s.

I kind of agree because of the volume behind this rise is not looking good.

Thanks for sharing. Well, there's another Bitcoin business that will stop communicating on this forum. I've noticed that when the company gets big enough they pretty much stop responding here. I remember buying a knife from Charlie (Yankee) in the marketplace sub-forum before Bitinstant was formed. Now you hardly ever see Charlie post even important company news here. Too bad.

This is very good news for Bitcoin though.

its nice to be bull again

Amen. It felt so tawdry being a bear a couple of weeks ago until I bought during the dip and turned bull again.

I was amazed that my fiat deposit went through on Christmas Day and I was able to buy a few more coins for $690 each before the train started rolling again.

Feels good (for now!)

Can we please do the rally thing AFTER January 1st (like the previous years)? That's so much better tax wise for me (reference date is January 1st) ...

People pay taxes for bitcoin gains?

No, I'm required to pay taxes based on net worth yearly. The Dutch system is based on a hypothetical 4% yield on all your assets taxed at 30% (so effectively you pay 1.2% of your net assets yearly).

And you people actually pay that? =)))
As a fellow EU citizen ,I must say that your system sucks.

edit... 1.2% of all your assets ,like including everything you own? house cars etc?
