I am waiting for that watershed line where sentiment is no longer "could go to zero." This fallacy will not always exist. And when it doesn't there will be an exponential rise in price.

But price is already rising at minimum exponential rate?

I kind of doubt any growth now that lapdog of Satan China called alibaba is marching to the communist party line.

<edit> I just realized how bitcoin could be driving a rift between east & west, at least economically. That plus the Diaoyu/Senkakku Islands thing. Even tougher to maintain status quo. Just a side note for now.

Panini cards?

Actually, these were the an introduction to 'currency' for children at school to exchange with each other. Strange how children knew then, what the scarcest cards were to obtain and put a higher value to.

Indeed it's too bad for nations holding livestock rather than citizens.

Outstanding. That game kept me sane during my first few months in China. I found it (probably pirated in all likelihood) at an electronics market in Shenyang, the Detroit of China.

Date of Bloomberg report is Jan 7, 2014 10:38 PM MT

Yet if the market is news sensitive as we perceive it to be, it could explain the current stagnation.

I am puzzled how btc-e has consistently higher volumes than both Bitstamp and MtGox. Who trades there?

I see that bitcoincharts' 30d data differs from bitcoinity's hugely for some reason. On bitcoinity, btc-e is third with 569k, but on bitcoincharts it is first with 844k.

Compare:
http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/
http://bitcoinity.org/markets/list?currency=USD&span=30d

Goes to show how little you can trust those websites. Sad

The fact that it did anything at all shows how stupid traders are.

China doesn't like Bitcoin. We get it. It's old news now. You don't all need to panic sell every time China does something else bad. Factor China into your price and move on.

Me!

Me too though I rarely see high volume in the bids.
Usually nothing like Gox but they are much more reliable with SEPA transfers and cheaper to buy in with Smiley

Sell on rumors buy on news? Huobi indeed had a fall, but has since recovered.

whats there to worry about manipulation, I mean banks are the only paying fines to commit it.
