Stompix: Bitcoin going forward is about mainstream adoption. Some cunt running an exchange like this and crashing the whole market for personal profit is simply going to keep new faces firmly out of bitcoin. Why bother dipping one's toe into bitcoin when the price fluctuates so wildly? Congrats to those with orders set at 100$ - and those few people who sold out to buy again lower. But it all comes at the expense long term of success for the currency.

Things like this did happen in the past.
Mtgox managed to crash it even better a long time ago.

But this didn't stop bitcoin not it's adoption in 2013.
We'll get over it soon.

I believe after that incident a lot of people would move fiat to btc-e to put ~100$ buyorders, just in case Cheesy

Oh the other hand, i feel for people who will lose their coins in the end by panic selling.

Unfortunately i decided to have my breakfast instead of moving coins to btc-e before the news, oh well

Might I ask why you trade on bitfinex? I signed up there some months ago, like the *tools* they provide, sure, but they struck me as really unreliable (not enough fiat on bitstamp, engine faltering under pressure, etc), so I do 99% of my trading on bitstamp directly, which behaves much better IMO under load. Or is the ability to leverage really that important to you?

2 options:

1. We´ll go up to 700 again then I sell

2. We´ll go down under 550 and I buy

Thats great if you can get excited for both sides Cheesy
