Can't believe that book would be more than a few pages long, though.

It depends how high will Bitcoin go and how quick. You know, never say never, maybe you'll be in that book too...

Edit: something to note is that the author (Ben Mezrich) seems to be already 50 years old, so the book is not from the far future  Wink

Mic

Saw this and thought of you

I need to ask. Why the two satellite antennas oriented towards ground?

It's the southern hemisphere, that's why.
Oh wait what, it isn't? It's too much beer then.

Its just like the trick of seeing inverse faces. Its not an accident on 2 separate dishes.

If it is a visual trick it then it really tricked me....

Wait for it...

I’m predicting a breakout towards the end of this week, calling high $9,000’s. Let’s see what happens. Clear support & no willingness to go & stay below 9k indicates a bullish sentiment.

1 of the dishes is broken, in the original photo the trick was 2 looked to be pointing down.

I earlier presumed they were both the visual trick. I have now inspected the dishes in detail and I was wrong about one of them. I admit it.

I don't see that much difference between the two. Either they are both a visual trick or both dishes pointing downwards. I think we need an expert here... where is xhomerx10?

@officialmcafee
The CIA tries to silence me. I escape. One of my many body doubles disapears on the way to do a keynote as me. He wakes up 11 days later with no memory. Hospital says he was poisoned  wake up America!

Yes, and he has been for quite some time.
Excessive use of uppers will make you paranoid.
I had a customer like that in my cab in the mid 90s. Picked him up in a nice suburb, he was twitchy as hell and convinced that we were being followed, he asked me to make all sorts of weird detours and strange maneuvers to get rid if the cars following us. It took twice as long, if not more to get to the destination than normal, but I made a small fortune on him that evening.

I know that some peeps don't like roach, but I thought that the most recent flag against him was merely to warn newbies (and I suppose others) about him - not to get him banned or to get his post deleted - even though some peeps would not mind achieving that either.

Of course, roach seems to go on a bit of a worse spouting of nonsense from time to time, but his nonsense doesn't really seem to be getting any worse - maybe running out of shock value, and lots of folks don't likely read his posts in detail - maybe skim them from time to time, including yours truly.   Wink

By the way, sometimes I believe that some of Roach's posts are allowed to stand that should be deleted - but of course, discretion is going to differ from person to person, and overall, infofront does seem to strike a decent balance with his largely hands-off style, and largely leaves it to us to tell roach to fuck off or to ignore roach or whatever other variation of interaction with roach (or not) that we might individually choose.

anyone reading roach will very quickly find his anti crypto, racist, sexist, anti semitic, anti anything except white stance. like within a post or two. his posts almost never vary, its like he has a macro or just copy/pastes from his standard template. i dont think anyone really needs help figuring that out.

and once in a great while he does post something useful on some subject in which he does have some knowledge.

i cant actually see any harm in his obviously wacko postings, and after all thats what the ignore button is for. perhaps delete his really offensive posts is all thats needed, and infofront seems to have a good balance there.

not that im defending him, personally i find hes a thoroughly vile and despicable person, and im not even on his hate list  as far as my demographic.

guess my point is, there no need to ban (or arbitrarily delete every post of his) him here in this thread. once we start to arbitrarily delete posts that disagree with what most of us think, well i dislike where that may lead. i do not want the WO thread to be an echo chamber. i find this thread is my main source of bitcoin information, and both good and bad information is needed for one to make informed decisions.

Roaches are typically black, sometimes dark brown.   Otherwise I agree with you.

Actually, I would assert that way more than 99% of the peeps here don't give two shits about attempting to invade the privacy of the personal lives of other members here, but there is an industry that goes around and targets various individuals, and likely they would target the individuals with weaker opsec.. or if they can find any possible exploitable chink in the armor.
By the time she gets to 50k we'll all be targets for more than nosy malware. Imagine at 100k or more. People routinely do horrible things for peanuts. Mind your details, corn brothers.

BTW, I didn't get the opsec flaw in kenzawak's post. He routinely writes about his location, was it just that? I haven't looked into it anyway, but I'm sure being the smart guy he is, any slippery reference has been cleaned up.

My account here got compromised about two weeks ago. I have no idea how it happened (phishing, malware...).
I don't think posting pictures of myself or the places I go to is the issue here (I can't believe I was targeted but who knows ?). It's more about the possibility of someone getting access to my laptop via an unsecure network while abroad.

USD is the global reserve currency.  Making it a basket of currencies is very international but unnecessarily complicated things, in a way that a Venezuelan with a grade 3 education will struggle to understand.

Facebook dun goofed.  It should be a USD stable coin only.

I disagree. USD is the global reserve currency, and someone stuck with pesos will be more than happy with USD, euro or yen, whatever. However, print, print and print, the greenback will probably lose some value in the medium term. I think the mixed basket thing is to make libra more palatable to people in the first world.

By any chance did you log in to the forum from a computer other than your laptop while abroad? When I'm forced to use internet cafes I simply go without logging in. Sometimes I do peruse the forum in guest mode, but I'm just always wary of keyloggers and such.
