I made my point, so I feel no need to lecture about it. Do what you want, and it seems quite doubtful to me that NOT tatooing yourself has as many disadvantages as tatooing yourself, and part of the reason is op sec. Personal choice off course.
By the way, when filthy rich fucks are amongst their fellow other filthy rich fucks, that would be an appropriate time for flaunting as much wealth as you can because your safety is not at jeopardy because the other filthy rich fucks are doing the same.
When you are walking down the street, you are not in club med or in some other location that surrounds you with other filthy rich fucks, then it is much better to at least make an appearance of attempting to fit in and to NOT make yourself any BIGGER of a target than you need to be made. Sure, regular peeps are going to realize that you are not one of them and that you likely have more money than them, but if you don't flaunt the bullshit, then they are not going to be able determine (or even care perhaps) to know whether you have 5x more than them or 1,000x more than them. If you flaunt wealth or other aspects about yourself (through a tattoo or other kinds of labelling), you have much less plausible deniability - and I would not want to put myself into those kinds of positions - even though other peeps are going to come to differing conclusions that might fill their lives with the kinds of drama (and attention) that they want and I would prefer to lessen in my own personal life.
Make your own choice of course. I am not attempting to stop you or anyone else from making their own life choices about tattoos and other things like that, but I continue to personally believe that these should be thought out choices rather than spontaneous ones... and not mere rationalizations based on your having already gone down that path... and in that regard, tattoos are more irreversible and difficult to hide as compared to other forms of flaunting your wealth, if you choose to do so from time to time.... and in that regard, I have no problem with flaunting your wealth from time to time... and also enjoying nice things... which is why many of us have accumulated a lot of bitcoins, hopefully in order to spend some of them or at least to otherwise to be able to spend our other less valuable money that we hold alongside of our bitcoin that we may not need to spend if we have managed our overall portfolios well.
Merited. This is good advice, and we should all take opsec very seriously, or we risk getting our precious BTC wrenched out of us and into the wallets of thieves. A while back, a Turkish guy had posted on Facebook that he owned 400+ BTC. Notice the past tense "owned"... He was kidnapped, tortured, and his BTC taken from him. Tattooing BTC on an exposed part of your body is like inviting criminals to do the above to you. Just be extra careful and never openly boast about your stash, especially to people you don't know well. If someone asks, just say you're into the technology and want to be part of the revolution, but never that you own a good amount of corn.

Strong optical illusion. All the balls you see in this image are brown. Enjoy. Nice, although easily explained. Our eyes are mixing brown with R (red), G (green) and B (blue) stripes, giving the balls the corresponding tint. The further away you more (or the smaller the picture), the more pronounced the mixing effect, as the eyes cannot resolve the details. I wouldn't call it an illusion, just spatial filtering, similar to the way RGB screens or Bayer sensors work.

So I'm thinking this libra nonsense will get heavily regulated, the states would be insane not to. And that will then be used as an excuse to regulate crypto in general, and bitcoin especially. It might be a good time to get around to moving elsewhere for those planning to do so.
Facebook has the money, clout, and kompromat to bulldoze through regulation.

Bullish continuation pattern? I'm very bullish now on Bitcoin, especially if we break above $9,500. I'm so excited We are in a new bull market but are making new highs on lower volume each time which is a sign we are due for a correction. Could we make $10000 first? Who knows but I would put some low ball bids in to buy between $7200 to $8000 as the low volume indicates this rally is running out of steam.

I might be late on this. What's wrong with the poll?
In your absence, a decision was made by the higher-ups that the polls should only now be for Hero members and above. :-) Sshhh... only four months are left for jokes of this kind on fillippone - more or less. Don't spoil it. @fillippone You're swimming with the heavyweights already, didn't you notice? Now we do not swim, we're just diving. I would dive there, not to re-emerge for a long time. Tan-lines trigger fillippone.

Facebook has the money, clout, and kompromat to bulldoze through regulation. They also helped the current us president to win their election. It has been proven and they admitted it in the court of law. So libra will be official sponsorship of his 2020 campaign? *need meme here*

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still sidling along in the low $9xxx range I see... currently $9360USD'$12340CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Let's go Bitcoin. We want 5 digits. Unfortunately millennials of today are hypnotised by social media and they are or will be our biggest users/accumulators of btc.
I agree they are hypnotized by (anti-) social media but disagree with them being our biggest accumulators of BTC. Bitcoin is the product of Gen-Xers who still have the biggest holdings. Many of the other big holders are Boomers (who brought us the microcomputer revolution and internet) whose technological superiority and greater wealth has allowed them to accumulate larger holdings. There are few who can handle new wealth but many who can’t, dangers of a quickly acquired wealth combined with constantly seeking approval and fame amongst others is a recipe for disaster in many cases.
Ain't that the truth. That mixture of the fear of real social interaction as opposed to anti-social withdrawal into a false world of texting, combined with an obsession with selfies, celebrities, fame and narcissism, doesn't bode well for handling real life including money management' Hell, some can't even feed themselves properly. They're to stupid or lazy to prepare themselves good healthy food at home, and in some cases too lazy to even go out to a restaurant so they call Ubereats or Whydodishes so the don't have to go out and face the real world. When they do leave their little cloisters of withdrawal, they pay for things with credit cards instead of real cash, regardless of compound interest. Money management skills? Lawl.

We should have gone to 60-80K last time. Futures killed the run prematurely. Maybe, to 'compensate', we will go 600-800X this time instead of even lower multiple (32X).
Autism overload. It's not possible for the price of Bitcoin to go to the moon and not have mining massively expand to match. Nobody would ever buy an $80k Bitcoin if they can just mine one for $3k cost of production. But it's not really possible for mining to increase by something like an order of magnitude or it would probably use more power than the entire United States. In other words, the Bitcoin pump and dump scam is now butting up against the limits of the natural world for how high it can be artificially rigged with Tethers. The price of Bitcoin will go as high as the next speculator wants to pay for it; hashrate will follow. Zerohedge demographics, at least on the comment section, is middle aged to 60+ year olds... those with descendancy will eventually leave their gold to their kids, kids which will eventually diversify into Bitcoin.
You can lie to yourself and everyone else all you want, it won't help. Bitcoin has zero fundamentals due to transaction validators being designed to centralize, so it's a non-fungible, permissioned ledger, govt tracking system that abolishes the 5th amendment. Then the Lightning Network is another scam recreation of the already existing banking system, but even while being a scam to bait and switch everyone into the same banking system as before where every single transaction is routed through a bank, inherits the base layer scaling problems and doesn't even scale enough to onboard people dumb enough to sign up for it. There is nothing whatsoever 'inevitable' about the entire planet tripping over their own feet to sign up for such garbage. Even if it had good fundamentals - it doesn't - the world could still completely ignore or boycott it anyway. You're just another garbage millenial who was spamming bullshit like "HURR ETHEREUM WORLD COMPUTER" a few months ago until the bottom fell out of that scam and now you've moved to a new scam. In the end, the only thing that actually matters is fundamentals, and metals have them all while imaginary, valueless, centralized, permissioned ledger shitcoins have zero. I have been calling Ethereum a scam for years. As far as Bitcoin mining centralization, contrary to popular belief, we are going towards decentralization. Every day Bitcoin survives with 0 censored transactions is another day you are wrong, thus poorer. Imagine being deluded enough to trust gold accumulation charts given out by governments as truth. Meanwhile you can objectively know how much a Bitcoin address holds.

“A person directly in the know,” told the news source that Libra and digital wallet Calibra wouldn’t be available in markets where “cryptocurrencies are banned or Facebook is restricted from operating in.” I guess you can add China then. Well, that's too bad.

I heard China is banning IOS? They are going to create their own operating system and in a mission to avoid US made products so most possibly they are not going to accept this Libra too.

Facebook has the money, clout, and kompromat to bulldoze through regulation. They already track FB account user data to sell to the ad agencies, retail companies, and government agencies. The next logical step is to link your captured user data to what you routinely spend your money on, and how much of it. Libra will help them do just that. And that will be perfectly fine with the regulators.
